I learned about the puppies the next morning at my church, so I’m getting one of them. They were born a couple of days before my dog died. I’m looking all over the internet for instructions and information about how to raise and train a chihuahua or dogs in general.

Hello Garret, I live in Spain and here the e-collar is prohibited, does that mean that i can't let my dog go off leash or that your course on off leash training won't be useful to me? Also the prong collar is prohibited, is there an alternative? Thanks in advance I really appreciate your work it's amazing how much useful info you put out

Thanks for the kind words! Our Unleashed course for off-leash obedience is an ecollar course where we cover proper ecollar use in detail. Of course that would require using an ecollar to benefit from the Unleashed course. Regarding the prong, you could try the StarMark training collar. Our courses on DIYK9.com cover the use of different tools as well.

Garrett an you do a video on getting your puppy to stop marking? I got a Rottweiler puppy and never really thought he was the super dominate type but as he is now 7 months old he wants to mark everything on walks now and he never used to. He used to squat when he peed now he jacks his leg way up and lets other dogs know he's king. I was kind of ok with it as I never caught him marking anything in the house and he was kind of a shy skittish pup and I wanted him to be more dominate and confident but today I caught him marking the cat tunnel for my cats in the house.

Hello! I love your videos. I just adopted my pitty. I'm looking through a lot of training videos and struggling to find videos for dogs that are not motivated by food. So my rescue he doesn't really care about treats. And any type of attention or touch for him is either play or positive. I've been working on developing the right tone with him. But I'm curious if you have any advice on positive reinforcement tactics for him? Toys as well he enjoys obviously. But he is not interested in them when there is a human there. I think it's because he was a rescue and didn't have a lot of attention before being adopted. But I just can't find any resources on how to help dogs that don't get motivated by food or treats with training. He only gets excited or happy with me. Not even other people.
