Can we please have coverage that befits the sport. Can we have commentators that understand the intricacies of match racing and can relay them to the public, not platitudes and wrestling commentary we get from the Aussie commentator . VMG is almost essential, watts generated by the grinders would also add a bit more interest .. Also this is a match race, we need coverage from 3 minutes before the start not 30 seconds. I hope you understand why , if not ask someone who understands match racing.. Please do this amazing event justice. 🙏

giorni fa quando Britannia ha iniziato perdendo ho sentito dire da qualche commentatore che era una barca che ha deluso le aspettative... Ecco ora che dice quel commentatore? Mi sembra che Britannia vada anche più veloce di Luna Rossa. Con questa imbarcazione inglese quella di essere gli sfidanti finali che sembrava una certezza ora mi sembra una probabilità molto difficile. Bisogna imparare a non esaltarsi troppo alle prime note positive..

If I were Ineos I'd be even more terrified of LRPP's boat speed than before. They lost the start, they were on the wrong jib and were continously forced on the wrong side of the course, and yet at the end the gap was only 25"...

si ma c'e' ancora la possibilita che arrivino secondi e quindi senza la scwlta dell'avversario. E sarebbe troppo impegnativo affrontare USA e poi Ineos e poi eventualmente NZ. Meglio arrivare primi, giocarsela con alinghi senza patemi d'animo e poi dare tutto in finale.

mi è sembrato che che LR abbia sempre cercato il vento confidando nella velocità della barca, ma Britannia era ugualmente veloce. Credo che l'errore sia stato non cercare di coprire e mandare i rifiuti specie alla prima poppa cercando di avvicinarsi più possibile. rimanendo vicini e coprendo nei lati di poppa si hanno più possibilità specie con barche dalle stesse prestazioni

Non penso sia questo, LR già dall’inizio sapeva gestire bene la barca, cosa che tutti i team non sono riusciti a fare a parte NZ.. ci sono state un po di cose in ballo oggi, le condizioni del mare e la scelta dei fiocchi, che nel caso di INEOS era più azzeccata oggi, tanto che se avesse gareggiato contro NZ probabilmente evrebbero sconfitto anche loro. Tutti gareggiano al massimo sempre, la cosa di nascondere le prestazioni è una leggenda… Poi tatticamente la partenza è stata genstita male da LR, e la gara era finita già dall’inizio.

i think Britannia is fast in strong wind... Its problem is light wind, it's very hard to maneuver and as soon as speed drop she splash down. In strong wind they can go very fast... probably they have less lift from foil, but less drag too. It's built for speed and strong wind. And Luna Rossa taste what is like when the boat ahead cover like 101 match race golden rules

Con queste condizioni di Vento i Britannici sono stati Impressionanti. La Giornata va' a Loro. Non bisogna comunque Abbattersi, la Sconfitta Brucia ma è nell'Ordine delle cose. In Cantiere ora sapranno dove intervenire sul Natante per Settarlo Meglio con Vento sopra i 14 Nodi e Mare Mosso. Ineos è l'Avversario più Accreditato per la Finale della LVC ed inoltre è possibile che tra due settimane il Vento sarà regolarmente al di sopra dei 14 Nodi, dunque non gli si può lasciare il Vantaggio che ha dimostrato oggi ed occorre prendere Provvedimenti Immediati. Domani con Aringhi capiremo meglio di che Pasta è fatto il nostro Sindacato Italiano e quali Chances avrà di Accedere alla Finale perché al 99% saranno proprio gli Elvetici i nostri Avversari in Semifinale. LR started a bit slower than Ines and it lost some metes on first segment, Than LR made a beautiful tack and gained 20 meters. Onmy opinion abig mistake was to continue under the control of Ines till border. At the point Ines had gained about 40 more meters and LR was in the trap. A better chouls would have been to tack in the middle of the field. Ines could cover but not so fast, or perhaps they could deicde to co straigh till the border. Ines leftno other opporunity to LR to stay far on the other border. So bad decision of Bruni in my opinion.

Incorrect... the boat was much slower thsn Britannia today. Too much wind for the sail configuration they chose, they should have had smaller ones. Britannia's top speed on the even legs was always 1 to 2 knots better, with equal or better skew angle
