One of my earliest childhood memories is visiting Dinosaur National Monument! As a 5 year-old child our family made a cross-country trip moving back to my birth state of California from New Jersey, and my dad went way out of his way to take us to the monument. I still remember standing in awe at the quarry as I gazed at all the fossils. It’s been a little over 60 years since then, so I thank you for allowing me to relive that precious memory, Pastor Randy!

We spent 2 days in this park un June 2019 with one day in each region. The canyon was unbelievably massive and beautiful. The quarry side was exciting. We also saw a lot of petroglyphs on the Cub Creek Road in the park at a couple of stops. We even saw the famous lizards on the Cub Creek Petroglyphs high up on the cliff. My husband and I did the Junior Ranger program at the quarry side and learned a lot about the park. Great park to visit. Thanks for sharing.

Huge THANK YOU to Pastor Jack for picking up the trash out there and to you Randy for capturing that moment on him and sharing it with the masses. As a long time environmental educator we would teach the kids trail etiquette and stewardship. I feel from when I first started teaching in 1990 til today awareness in such things has grown a lot but not in all cases. Dinosaur was on my initial itinerary for our big summer trip but had to cut it out due to several factors. After watching this my daughter was asking when we were going to go there LOL. Can't wait for the next adventure

Now you're in my stomping grounds. I've scrambled up that box canyon years ago and I made it a point to visit the quarry when I first moved to the area in the late 80's as I had been there as a kid while on vacation from Kansas. It's funny that you were just in the monument as I'll be there in three weeks for a four day camping trip to Echo Park. Haven't been there in a few years so I'm really looking forward to it. You really need to visit when it's fully open because you barely scratched the surface. Glad you had a good time though.

Crazy story about this place that I'd like to share especially since you're a man of faith. I was traveling back home to CO from SLC and had been praying for guidance about how I was raising my young son on the road. My family used to criticize me huge for our constant travels. I pulled into Dinosaur that early shabbat morning and parked right outside the cabin that you showed. My son and I had breakfast, read our Bible and devotional, and then did a hike. Upon our return, there was this little old lady in an RV parked right next to me. We chatted for a moment. In the conversation, she suddenly, randomly said, that I was raising him right. As I drove away, I felt, and still feel that she was an angel. This was almost 20 years ago. My son has not strayed from our faith. And is also otherwise successful and married. Thank you for this video. Hadn't thought about this for a while and I really needed this reminder that G-d will meet us literally wherever we are at.
