Trying to understand how you can make this fall into the category of an A2 licence? My interpretation of A2 category qualification is, a vehicle which may not have more than 35kW (47bhp) or exceed the equivalent power/weight ratio (can't rem the details). Vehicle may be restricted, but may not be derived from a motor exceeding 2 x 35kW (47bhp) i.e. 70kW or 94bhp. last time I checked, the 675cc variant of this machine produced 128bhp. What is the criteria by which A2 category is achieved in the case of this machine? because I would dearly love to buy one.

It is possible in The Netherlands and I think in the rest of the EU countries. The importer imports the bike with a 70kW mapping (this is a factory mapping), so the bike has a license registration (once imported as new bike) as a 70kW bike instead of 83kW or so. Now the MV Agusta dealership can upload the 35kW mapping and change it on the license registration. There is just one downside; you can never go back to full 83kW power legally. You are stuck with 70kW afterwards, never full power. Of course you can still upload the 83kW mapping on it, but I'm not sure what the insurance would do in case of an accident. There might be future changes in the A2-law, to prevent this little joke MV Agusta pulls off, but I'm not sure about that.

gewoon de orginele 94kw mapping erop zettten ookal is dat illigaal? en het geluid valt ook vies tegen..

Wees blij dat je dit met A2 mag rijden. 94kW mapping kan er op, mag eigenlijk niet. 140km/u rijden mag ook niet. Geluid is niets mis mee, lekkere rauwe 3-cilinder. Enige nadeel is; begrenzer bij 8500tpm ipv 14.500tpm. Dus je mist wel gegil. Komt een heerlijke brul uit het blok als je het gas open draait en 106dB, vandaar dat je 'm goed hoort op de video. Als je iets niet hoeft te vervangen, is het de uitlaat wel t.o.v. andere motoren. Dan moet dat als eerste vervangen worden.

TheAbominableShowman Not sure about UK rules, but I'm guessing you've got A1 and A2 over there as well. The MV Agusta needs to be imported (by the importer) as 70kW on license. After that you can use a 35kW mapping. So you can't set a second hand MV Agusta to 35kW, because it has more kilowatts on the registration papers.

Ik weet niet of je het testverslag al hebt gelezen op startersmotor.nl? Je moet een NIEUWE F3 Brutale 675 of F3 675 aanschaffen, de importeur moet deze als 70kW op kenteken importeren en van daaruit kan de 35kW mapping er op. In hoeverre dat nu in 2017 nog lukt ivm Euro4, weet ik niet. Beste kan je dat navragen bij een MV Agusta dealer, die op zijn beurt de importeur dit kan navragen. Je kan ook zelf de importeur navragen, maar normaal gesproken gaat klantcontact via dealers.

2 years later but after 2 weeks not riding battery is dead. Just plug the battery in its charger after a ride, all should be fine.

I have a MV Asudta F3 675 wirh the 25KW kit on it. And it just runs up to 8000RPM Is there a Rpm limiter with the 35kw (48bhp) kit too? Thanks

+666JL666 I don't know. I don't own the bike in the video. Just had it for one week for a review. You'd have to ask MV Agusta owners or a dealer. I have not seen any discolored MV's last time I checked. :)

Officially no. This bike was imported with 70kW mapping and 70kW papers, then it got back to the 35kW mapping. If you want to go back to full power it is possible, but not really legal. But technically it is possible to go back, yes.

Hmm goede review, al had ik wat meer bochtenwerk willen zien in deze video. Als ik het goed begrijp is deze motorfiets zwaar begrensd, wat kan hij zonder de begrenzing? Top snelheid was 280 las ik op je andere video?, 0 naar 100 bijna hetzelfde? En de prijs was echt 15.000 euro?? Ik vraag me dan echt af of het zinvol is om zo'n motor aan te schaffen, zelfs zonder die begrenzing is ie eigenlijk al aan de prijzige kant. Beetje grof maar, dit is dan eigenlijk hetzelfde als voorspel na een date zonder daadwerkelijk seks te hebben. Ik bedoel het is leuk, maar je wilt er eigenlijk meer uithalen. Ik heb ook geen rijke ouders die dit voor mij zouden betalen. Ziet er wel leuk uit hoor , maar waarom zou je als je al een begrensde motor wilt niet beter bijvoorbeeld een z750 of z800 aanschaffen. Ik ben nu 20, en ik weet dat je na 2 jaar een A rijbewijs mag rijden, maar als ik het zo zie kan je beter tot je 24e wachten.

D Jnsen De video is ook meer als ondersteuning voor de review. Kan je wat beter zien hoe de motor er uit ziet. En geen circuit in de buurt voor de bochten. ;) Op de openbare weg ben ik niet zo happig op heel schuin gaan. Je hebt ander verkeer, zooi op de weg etc. De prijs is idd 15+ duizend euro. Een Z800e heeft niet de techniek die op de F3 zit en het blijft een exclusieve motor. MV Agusta is altijd al duurder geweest dan de Japanse motoren van gelijke cilinderinhoud. Top is 260km/u vol vermogen. Optrekken gaat véél sneller als deze onbegrenst is. Dit is meer een fiets die pa moet aanschaffen, 'm op 35kW laat zetten en dan ook zoonlief er op laat sturen. De meeste jongeren hebben niet 15k op de bank staan.
