Ames Moot Court Competition 1974

The case Dillon v. Ford was argued on November 24, 1974, at the Ames Moot Court Competition. The presiding judges were Hon. Thurgood Marshall, Associate Justice, U.S. Supreme Court; Hon. Henry J. Friendly '27, U.S. Court of Appeals for The Fourth Circuit; Hon. Harrison L. Winter, U.S. Court of Appeals for The Fourth Circuit.
The Ames Competition, held in the historic Ames Courtroom of Harvard Law School, is one of the most prestigious competitions for appellate brief writing and advocacy in the country. The students participating in the Final Round started the competition in fall of their 2L year. Two teams progressed to the Final Round through their strong research abilities and excellent written and oral advocacy.

Gotta love Thurgood Marshall! I wish there were more Moot Courts like this...I know this one doesn't fit with the usual mood of courts but it is always fun to watch! Having Judge Friendly also added to the humor. Judge Winter is another legend but I think he was hanging on and just enjoying everything here lol
