Congrats on your approval of the Amex Gold card! If I were to get the Amex Gold card anytime in the near future, I would probably also only keep it for a few years. I don't think the card would benefit me long-term, but it would be nice to get it for the welcome offer when it is high. When I got my first Amex card, which was the Hilton Honors card early last year, American Express pulled my Experian and Trans Union reports. What was nice is when I got the Hilton Surpass card this past summer, there was no hard-pull at all. The classic gold card is nice, but I think I like the rose gold card the best. I'll look forward to seeing your unboxing of the white gold card!

One day hope to get it after getting my credit up more then where I’m at. Too me it looks like the chip is bigger then normal on the card but definitely a beautiful card. I think the gold is highest I’ll go with Amex the platinum is definitely a lot of money and dosent meet my needs.

Yea I might get the platinum only for for the signup bonus and cancel it after the first year

Interesting plan, unfortunately you would loose out on a sign up bonus if you choose to do that but the gold definitely provides a lot more value than the green

I have the Green, Gold and The Schwab Amex Platinum. I use my Amex points to transfer(@ 1.1cpp) to my Schwab investment account. I’m all about that compound interest.

Amex will only do a hard pull for your first card. It’s a soft pull for any other Amex cards you get moving forward.
