Jonghyun, Sulli, and Hara had severe depression and passed away (I’m not going to say exactly the word because it’s a triggering topic). The hate comments and actions against them are thought to be part of the reason they aren’t here with us now. Edit: I suggest that anyone who wants to know more about these three beautiful people- look them up. Also, for the people that are going through something right now- I want you to know that you aren’t alone. Please know that you are not a bother to anyone and that there are people out there that will listen to you- I’m one of those people that will gladly hear you out. Know that you are loved and that you will win against the battles raging inside and against you.

I think that BTS’s rap line song “UGH” is very relevant to the message of this song and what happened to many Kpop idols who have taken their lives because of the amount of hate in the world.

If you dive into IU universe, your life will be changed. Experiencing IU, her artistry, her beautiful soul and her as a person is a really delightful experience. I hope you check out more of IU. She's not your average artist. She's a singer-songwriter, producer, actress, model, an inspiration (heck she was once a police officer!) and a philanthropist. She's a lot for a single person, she's really really really special. Thanks for this reaction

The following three songs tell the flow of a story. BBIBBI -> Love Poem -> Eight BBIBBI: IU illustrates the relationship between unscrupulous media, haters, and Korean idols, and issues a warning. Love Poem: IU provides comfort and inspiration to those whose lives are under various stresses, trying to stop tragedies from happening. Eight: IU's inner feelings after experiencing multiple tragedies, mourning for her friends and comforting herself, hoping to live life in a strong and positive way.

jonghyun (SHINee) passed away in December 2017at 27 years old, Sulli (dram industry but also formed an idol group) passed away in October 2019 at 25 years old and 42 days later it was reported that Hara also pass away at 28 years old (she debuted in 2 groups, she did very well in the debut of Japan) all 3 committed suicide over hate comments on social media leading idols to depression, it was difficult times for IU after her 3 close friends passed away 😔 IU is an amazing singer She is very generous, for me IU, BTS and SHINee are very talented artists but at the same time very generous and strong against difficult times

IU is a complete artist. Her voice is really sweet, I really like her. I really hope you can continue reacting to her. Quick facts: -Born is 1993 - She's a well respected singer/songwriter/actress in Korea. She's the chart queen. -She does a lot of charity -She's good at drawing the line to all those haters and people in general in a respectful but firm way. (When someone gets sued for leaving hateful comments, some artists usually forgive those people but not her. IU really goes all the way and I think that's great) -She's one of the first artist to admit a problem of bulimia after all those comments about her body when she was young. She's better now. -She's a rol model for a lot of korean idols and ideal type of a lot of idol males (yes, including Jungkook from BTS as some people said in the comments already)

I was literally finishing seeing the reaction to the song and thinking "I hope they see the explanation" because if you haven't been in the world of kpop for a long time it's difficult to understand the references and how personal the song is, and boom !! this video appears. As everyone said in reaction to the song, IU is one of the most successful SOLOISTS, and her songs are always a boom !! She is incredible, because she also participates in the whole process (writes, composes, produces ...) of her music, she is an actress, a model ... she is incredible. Edit after seeing the reaction. The biggest theory, which has not been confirmed by IU, is that the song is about her friends who sadly died, in the same way (I don't want to be disrespectful about them so I won't go too deeply into the subject) just i´m gonna tell a little about the situation for this Alex and Allen and for those who don´t know abot the topic. Just a little. Jonghyun was a member of one of the great Kpop boy groups, Shinee (from the same company as EXO, SuperJunior, GirlsGeneration, RedVelvet, etc, SM). Unfortunately he passed away in December 2017, and in October 2019 Sulli,she was a member of f(x) (another SM group) a and a actress, also passed away, both close friends of IU, later in November 2019, Go Hara, a member of the group KARA, who was a close friend of Sulli was found dead. Jonghyun, in addition to being a member of Shinee and writing and composing for the group, he composed for other artists among some of his most famous compositions is BREATH by Lee Hi (a beautiful song) in which from my perspective we can hear a how Jonghyun and Lee Hi were dealing with difficult situations, Breath is a song that personally comforts me in difficult moments and is beautiful. Unfortunately, the world of kpop, like Korean society, has been very rigid for a long time, making IDOLS not able to really express themselves as they would like in their music and in their day-to-day actions, they always have to look "perfect", and do not raise any controversy, any simple action such as dating is considered a controversy, or read certain book and use certain clothes, etc, especially for female idols. Unfortunately Sulli and Go Hara were heavily criticized on social media for no reason. On the other hand, talking about Suga's participation, I think there are some very remarkable aspects, of course, in addition to the fact that both IU and Suga are known for being excellent lyricists and producers, and that both are part of the most popular and recognized artist in Kpop. From my personal perspective , collaborations between members of a male group with some idol girls always seem to be incredibly cared for, especially because of the hate that they might get from some crazy "fans" ... so that these two greats decided to collaborate on a song like this seems like a WOW, bravo !! ... Another remarkable thing for me is, as in a song with this background Suga enters, who has spoken openly in his music about his struggles with emotional problems, and who also usually writes comforting music ... Anyway, please spread love and don't hate . This is just a bit on the topic , so don't be rude if i don't write or know all about the topic or if a made some english grammar mistake ( english is no my first lenguage). By the way . Some recomendationes. From IU: -Palette -Love poem(such a amazing song) -Blumming -23 (of course) -Red queen -BbiBbi (this song also have an explanation videon on the same YT Channel) -Good day -Ending scene etc etc jaja any of their song By Lee Hi -Breath -Holo Both song amazing.

eight was released after bts map of the soul 7 album early this year and as a army who wasnt familiar with iu but heard of the tragic incidents that happened the last few years i peiced together a connection between bts UGH and iu ft suga eight. also with both explanation videos. towards the end of ugh jhope says how the hate comments can end up taking someone's life and dkdktv explained how they may have been referring to the incidents that happened in kpop in 2019 and before. then when eight was released and suga was a part of it it clicked that both songs were talking about the same few incidents. im not sure if any of them bts or iu intended that meaning but its very powerful and sad but i believe everyone should take away from it and be kinder not only towards each other but also towards celebrities theyre not these untouchable beings they have feelings too and millions of hate comments daily would affect anyone but for some reason theyre expected to just deal with it. i think iu and bts are trying to bring awareness to make people think before saying or typing something hurtful towards anyone regardless of status. ius 3 friends took their own lives sadly a large part was due to hate comments but also mental health and other circumstances and struggles they dealt with. i hope that iu is doing okay and talking to professionals about her feelings besides writing it into her music and i hope she found a new friendship with suga.

Jonghyun even shared to the world that he suffers from depression and even a letter that is public ....he suffered a lot and wanted to hear just that he did well .... - you worked hard my boy , you did well all the years, hope you are happy now - I dont know much about the others but im sure you will get information in the comments. Jonghyun was depressed, I don't know if he got a lot of hate from knets, but he wasn't truly happy, and even sought help from proffesionals, that basically laughed in his face, and he commited 3 years ago a few days before christmas, 27 years old. Sulli was extremely targeted by haters on the internet, ever since she debuted. She tried to change norms and went braless which was a thing knets absolutely hated, all the hate she got throughout the years was ofc very hard on her mental, and october 2019 she was found in her home, 25 years old. I don't know much about Goo Hara, but I know her ex boyfriend had videod them having sex, and then tried to blackmail her with it. I also know she tried to end her life in 2018 when all of this was first going on. Sulli and Hara was very close friends, both very targeted by the public, and they've said they were like sisters. Sulli's passing was horrible for Hara, and about a month later, she also ended her life, 28 years old.

@classical73 жыл бұрын
@@KM-zh6zi k-netizen = korean keyboard warriors. Netizen is a combination of net (online/the web) plus citizen. So it's basically Korean people who goes online and post unnecessary hate comments about celebrities, etc. They don't care what's written because they're anonymous behind their computer screens and keyboards. Hateful words/comments can do a lot of damage. Just because they're celebrity doesn't mean they're immune to hate comments. They're still human beings. I recommend listening to BTS "UGH" and "Ugh Explained by a Korean" by DKDKTV because it talks about a similar topic of unnecessary hate and anger.

tw// depression , suicide , hate comments , harrassment , abuse , blackmail, if there's anything wrong, i encourage you to either tell me or just move on. look this stuff online if you want to know more but warning, it is very triggering/uncomfortable. reach out to someone if you feel depressed/suicidal. im upset that i personally didn't when i was going through my issues. sulli, goo hara and jonghyun committed suicide. i know jonghyun has severe depression but it was unexpected, for all of us, when they reported that he was found in his apartment. both sulli and goo hara were constantly harrassed online to the point where they both committed suicide in their apartments as well. all three of them had cases as to what exactly happened but by far the most disturbing one was goo hara's which was unfortunately closed. goo hara's abusive ex-boyfriend threatened her multiple times by saying that he was going to release "revenge porn." after this, she got harrased constantly online to the point that she attempted suicide after she posted an Instagram post saying goodbye and then later committed suicide after she posted an Instagram post saying "sleep well." jonghyun was found in his appartment after having eaten (i dont remember the exact name) toxic. he had sent goodbye messages to his mother and sister. the last time we had heard from him he had an Instagram livestream the day before saying that he was fine but he still looked a bit off. i don't know much about sulli's case but i do know she was getting a lot of malicious comments. all in all, rest in peace angles, you will be dearly missed. if you want to find more information or want to fact check what i said (which i encourage) please just look it up. i am tearing up just thinking about this so there may be some misinformation.

the kpop industry is very difficult, demanding, artists have to meet beauty standards, almost cruel diets, strenuous work and training schedules or rehearsals, the agencies keep practically all the money, and the artists are not considered real artists, they are objects of entertainment ... you may think that I am exaggerating or lying but I am not even close to the middle of what it is to be an idol ...That is why the success of bts is so significant, they are free or much freer than most idols, bts since it started broke with many paradigms and continues to break stereotypes, now they are shareholders of BH, the vast majority of idols can not even imagine something like that, And we, the public, do not see what is beyond beauty, choreographies, the aura of a great star ... suicide in kpop is unfortunately something very recurrent ... depression and other mental illnesses almost hand in hand with most artists, A few days ago Jungwoo (NCT) was discovered smoking, the boy is of legal age for that and more, it was a trend in social networks, the hatred towards him was horrible, they asked to be removed from the group, to come out to apologize, it was horrible, of course that there were many tests and shows of support from his fans, I just imagine because of what he happened ... the maximum obligation of an idol is to keep his public image pristine.

@@rebeccabeebe1 you must be a new army, bc it was huge. You probably never heard of Tamar either uh? she is a "journalist" who would write many and many pieces being bittersweet or straight up rude about them, it got to a point where we now have designed accounts on Twitter look at who wrote articles about bts and if it's safe to give it clicks, so a certain day dkdktv decided to make a live and have Tamar as a guest, in said live they said so much shit about bts and army that we logically got mad and asked for apologies, and David, who wasn't part of the live, freaked out on Twitter saying he would immediately talk to the other guy who I never bothered to learn the name, and then hours later they both started to tweet about how they didn't give a fuck and we should go fuck ourselves and about how stupid we are and that we should unsubscribe bc the didnt need us, then they lost about 10k to 20k subs in idk 2 hours, and since then everytime they make a bts video they somehow make it about themselves, like the ugh video. So yeah, this isn't new or anything, and is just frustrating seeing armys choose they're side after everything they said about us.
