This woman is so sweet, its heartbreaking to see how much she still grieves for her child. I think its great and probably therapeutic for her trying to help others with addiction. Its such a gnarley disease. Thank you Nancy.

your son saved my life every fukkn day. i got clean a few months before he died. i was never a groupie or shallow fan- never got an autograph. and when i met him he was so kind, soft-spoken, shy, and radiant. i have over two decades clean- and i dedicate it to him. i didn't know him- but he knew me. i love your beautiful sensitive soul Layne. Your voice, art, life, and legacy keeps me going in the darkest of days at 50.

❤️ I do as well, they are my favorite band of all, and Layne was "I can't even think of a word for him it's so big of 1," that I want to get across. I believe Mark Lanagan... "R.I.P as well,"...said it best, Mark said Layne was Other Worldly... Enough said right? ❤ Nancy is 50% "at the least," of the personality he got and had EVERYTHING from. To me it all makes perfect sense.

Thank you, Mother. You're our Mother too. You have millions and millions of kids who love you deeply. What's inside of you, you translated into Layne, whatever the words and actions were during the time. He gave us what you gave him, and that guy has given many, for so long, at least a little hope-spark to keep fighting. I love you, we love you, you're very special, we all know it. Godspeed, Layne. Godspeed, Mom. Take care of yourself.

After watching this, I really think Layne is a true Saint. He saved many with his raw emotional singing and allowing it all to flow out and now in death for over 20 years now people have been blessed with rehab and the chance to live free.

Nancy has such a lovely singing voice. I attended Layne's memorial show in Seattle a couple years ago, and she sang a Mad Season song. It was a surreal experience because the show was held at The Neptune, which is right up the street from the condo where Layne passed away. AiC was the best part of Lollapalooza '93. Rest in Power, Layne. We miss you terribly.

Nancy is such a sweetheart. I remember back in 2010, when I discovered AIC’s music, and going through my own addiction, I decided to do some background on Layne and found a page dedicated to him. I went onto the blog and read how she gave out her email and encouraged fans to reach out with art work and or emails. Each post was filled with nothing but kind words on how she wrote back to each person, and even sometimes sent back goodie bags with different things in them. I figured I would email her and she wrote me back! She was so warmhearted and thoughtful in her response back to me. I told her how extremely shy I was and how I usually don’t reach out to people I don’t know but Layne had touched my heart in a way I felt like I knew him even though I never met him, I guess that’s the power of music. I told her I loved Layne so much and he has helped me get through a rough patch in my life. She said you’re just like Layne, Layne was really shy, despite him being a lead singer of a major band. She also said Layne would have liked you a lot, and she wished me well. She is precious and I can see how fans have helped her through some hard times. ❤️ God bless you Nancy!

And perhaps he'd still be here IF his MOTHER actually loved and cared for him before he was kicked out of her home as a teenager. She ONLY came around when his band made it. LOTS of people who took care of him know the real story and is why we don't associate with her.

@@zombiana I am talking about shortly after he died up until around celebrity Rehab. I just remember Nancy surrounded by these crazy women that would report anyone talking about Layne to her and they'd bully them off the internet and dox them if they didn't like the narrative aka truth. Like the one friend who told the Mike Star story two years before Mike told it on celebrity rehab and she got ran off by the Nancy/Layne stalkers. I think to this day they run some of the fan pages but I believe they acted in a more "official" capacity pre 2010.
