Ive spent 28 years looking for this. As a child I played it and I couldn't get past one part. Now in 2018 I finally remembered what this games name was and can now watch this to see what happens past that part. Thank you !

Me too! I've been going over a lot of oldies from the Spectrum, Amiga, and Atari days to see how they ended, but this one has been annoying me for so long. I remember it on the Atari, that it was a side-scroller with a guy with an axe and possibly gun, a river being present, and there being a wolf that needed to be killed with a silver bullet, but the name was just grrr. I blew off my friends at a birthday party in order to sneak in 30mins of play on this thing! I found it watching a 7.5hour vid on every Amiga game ever played. Happy days that I can finally put a name to the bastard and see how it ends!

Exact same here...all i can remember is playing most likely the first level over and over and riding in the canoe... Definitely the good old days..chaos engine, zool, james pond, desert strike, cannon fodder...ahhhh....

@@Wax100beats Some games had really frustrating difficulty back then to keep the gameplay longer. I remember I've died like gazzilion times in endless canoe run before I figured out I need to land. I think the second phase was furthest I've ever got.

Today I am 47 years old and remember the game perfectly. This game sparked the imagination. Today the graphics look grotesque but for those years the playability of this game was top good. Thank you!

Really good game apart from the stiff controls. Pretty amazing they managed to put this whole game on 1 diskette only. Game was pretty hard so it´s great to see the whole game as i never got very far. Very well played and respect to Laffer who is sadly not with us anymore.

This makes the game look very easy but back then I was actually unable to get down the river alive most of the time and was constantly falling of the cliff/dying in battles. Kudos for the good work!

Nothing could even touch Amiga. People could their NES and their Segas and shit, my best gaming experiences is thanks to Amiga. Cannon fodder, sensible soccer, pirates, secrets of monkey island 1 & 2, defender of the crown, the three stooges, it came from the desert, moonstone and many other great and fun games.

The Colorado Axe Murderer. As a kid I almost made it to the mines, but got lost in the item management and the sheer brutal difficulty. I did sail on to the native camp, thanks for showing how the game ends!

I just found this game my hubby helped me figure out the game he said look pictures of Oregon Trail similar game he played from DOS, PC times and I found Colorado!! back in Peru when I played this game in my first computer 95'. I would play this for hours...OMG!! I gotta download this.

I played this game as a kid. I rediscovered it through abandonware in 2000, but for the life of me I just didn't bother trying to figure it out or winning even if I had a solution handy online. As a kid I actually skipped both the Apache section (where you get the silver bullet) and the mine section because... well, I had no idea you could climb that mountain or that there was a mine at all. I made it to the village but I had no idea what to do. Never advanced beyond that. I played it farther than I ever did today, but I just wanted to see it through. Didn't want to spend too much time, so I just checked out your vid. Got some closure at last.

It seems you can kill last wolf with normal bullet. I missed the first shot, then reloaded the gun again and didn't miss next time.

the comments are saying things about the indians exploding lol. i suppose when i played it i thought it was their spirit flying away. now i think about it imagine what this game would be like if it did realistic death animations and hacked up indian corpses laying around. i always though the indians knife and axe attacks were extreamly brutal, and standing close range hitting a guy with an axe in a war of attrition .

I finally saw the end of this title. As a kid I wouldn't get very far. Super stiff controls, insanely hard difficulty and... Well, no story at all. No wonder I could easily play the French version (for about twenty minutes before shutting down the damn thing, in a frustrated mood) 🤣
