It is about a young Swedish lady who was abused by her husband and now its over. Beautiful and very moving to Swedish folks. Moving to me too! She is just good all around and especially for her age even at nine. To have so much talent at so young is incredible. I may be wrong but I do not think there has ever been a lyric soprano so good at so young of an age.

Great to see you back to Amira. For something not Operatic, ‘’ when You Wish Upon a Star’’ , although much higher than I could sing, is a masterpiece of voice control & breathing technique. Very few artists would even attempt to sing this song at such a slow tempo and have sufficient breath to complete the drawn out notes that Amira does with ease. Also, if you haven’t done so already, her performance of ‘’ Sound of Music medley ‘’ is magnificent & she sings one octave above the original by Julie Andrews & absolutely nails it. She is singing in perfect Swedish - a language she doesn't understand and cannot speak. As a Swede you experience this as if it is a Swedish woman singing. Amira has no foreign accent, but sings in perfect Swedish. I think this is due to her very great gift to really listen and incorporate what she hears - may it be music or a foreign language.

I totally agree. It's completely different to this song, and it's so beautiful.. La Vergine Delgi Angeli.. the setting , the male choir, the musicians, and Amira's voice. It's just a spectacular combination. Yes it is short.. when I first heard it I had to replay it about 3 more times immediately. It's so special.

Amira is a beautiful young lady with a stunningly majestic, pure voice, a relentless faith in God, and a loving, compassionate heart for others, especially children! She is A+ as a singer and as an incredible human being. Fourteen here, she is now 18, and continues to astound me and bring happiness to my ears and heart every time I hear her. Even her speaking voice is sweet, melodious, and angelic.

Good Reaction,thank you.A while ago,Petra who is from Sweeden reacted to this video by Amira and was most impressed by the way Amira pronounced the Sweedish lyrics,Petra went on to say that Sweedish is not an easy language to learn and praised Amira for being able to do so.Another plus for Amira. Hello Shane , thanks for keep reacting to the incredible Amira . You reacted many of the best performances of Amira between 13 and 14 years old ( except Ave Maria Gomez at 11 years old ) Now you must react to one Amira more adult ( relativly , only is 18 years old ) where her voice start to change but her incredible talent gets better and better . She sings opera songs and musical songs ( The sound of music medley , My favorite thing from The sound of music , I m so pretty from The west side story , I dreamed a dream from Les miserables , When you wish upon a star from the movie Pinoccio and How does a moment last forever from the movie Beauty and the Beast , but always in her operistic style Amira is unique

Song is from a Swedish film, the English title is As it is in heaven. It's about a woman who is abused by her husband and finds solace singing in the church choir. Whole film reduced to one sentence, I'm sure there's more to it than that. When ever Amira sings a song, she'll translate it so she gets a full understanding, and is able to put the emphasis and emotion into the right places. She's a real pro in her attitude, though still a school girl. Not sure which ones of hers that you have seen already, recent ones that are worth checking out are:- La Califfa. Nearer my God to thee, Jerusalem. La virgine degli angeli. I'll walk with God. - or just lucky dip, whatever you pick is worth listening to.
