Don’t forget people helping each other that don’t expect anything in return!

In Western Canada we had a tornado go through a trailer park and campsite. It was devastating. The town sent out a request for anyome with a chainsaw to come help get rid of the downed trees. There was a lot of debris at the site to clean up, but also the grain fields near by had debris throughout and harvesting couldn't happen unless all the debris was cleared from the fields. The local Hutterite Colony sent a huge contingent of men to help out, and the women set up tables and brought food for the volunteers. There was also a medical conference in town, and all the doctors went to the hospital to help out.The whole community worked together to help out after this storm.

The Amish may keep to themselves mainly, but they have good hearts and are always trying to be helpful. They deserve our blessings.

When I was growing up in Montana in the 60s and 70s, I was not aware of any Amish people. There were, however, and still are, colonies of Hutterites. The latter live more communally and are less adverse to the use of technology, especially farm equipment. They have been adding colonies in Montana over the years as well. An off-shoot of the Hutterites, the Bruderhof, are well-known for their very technological manufacture of playground, classroom, and nursery equipment.

It's great to see this co-operation between Amish and non-Amish but it's even better seeing this man be able to keep a part of his home, especially after the devastating loss he suffered during a flood. The Amish have held onto the ways that most of America once held dear. People tend to forget that America did not become a great nation by accident, it is only recently that we've become such a tribal nation where many people avoid their neighbor. In places where there is co-operation, there will be success. In places where tribalism continues to rise, there will be failure. Of course, in America today, the failures will probably be rewarded........ but that's for another time. Well done. Thank you for sharing this wonderful story Erik. God bless. 🙏

When they were moving the red barn, I was tickled seeing all their legs sticking out from beneath the wall of the barn moving in unison. I thought it looked like a barn millipede hybrid = a barn-o-pede. Seriously though, it is a very heartwarming sight seeing so many people willing to help each other and not charging anything. Priceless!

I know the Amish are very giving people. One of the nurses at my job said that a group of Amish who live near her brother helped him when part of his house literally collapsed and even though he had workers help him, without even asking for help, they just showed up and started working. I'm not talking about an 8 hour day, they returned the next morning. They wouldn't take money so Mike, my coworkers brother did something in return for each family. Extremely kind and humble people. Thanks for sharing another great video Erik 🙏

The Lancaster judge overseeing the Amos Miller civil trial case has decided not to explicitly restrict the Amish farmer's out-of-state sales, saying he won't hold the ambiguous nature of Pennsylvania law against Miller. The result is Miller might be free to sell his raw milk produced in Pennsylvania out of state. God Bless the Amish!!

Does anyone ever get hurt doing this?
@protofmaster8 ай бұрын
I suppose it's possible, but then again they would never mention it even if they did get injured. In the Amish view of humility they would be drawing attention to themselves by doing so; thus even if they did get injured they, would be not broadcasting it.
