I really gotta agree on the wedding story - the extended family did a major no-no. Every family's welcome to have their own traditions, but during a wedding, no one side can honestly get 100% representation of their traditions when they clash with the other family. The extended family violating all of those rules is a major insult to OP and is even more impactful seeing as it happened on their wedding day of all things.

Story 2: These traditions sound so borderline hostile. It's almost as if literally the only reason they marry other people is to avoid inbreeding. Seriously, this family is just weird. Story 3: The ex-wife is, and I'm being seriously here, going insane. She may be legitimately mentally ill. Story 1: Good god, this has to be one o the absolute worst roommates to possibly have. Seriously, what is wrong with this dumb Karen? If i were the OP, i would fast track the eviction papers to get her out. It seems like she is living with the OP, not the other way around, and also seems like she is pretty much trying to take over the OP's apartment. For someone who loves conflict, she also sure loves to play the victim. Typical Karen really. Hopefully the OP can get her out of there and sooner the better. Story 2: OP is not the jerk at all here and was 100% justified in kicking Bens family out here. If they want to have their own traditions and whatnot outside of this wedding, that is their right. However, it is NOT their right to either force their traditions onto you or blatantly ignore your wishes, rules and boundaries. They didn't respect those and they deserved to be removed from the wedding. The family has no one to blame but themselves, but something tells me they are going to continue to shun the OP and Ben after this. Story 3: Ok, do not, and i mean do NOT under ANY circumstances allow this woman anywhere near your home, let alone be allowed to live in it. She cheated on you, had access to your bank, made up some bad allegations towards you, broke into your house, ditched you and your son to live abroad, had almost no contact with your son.... why would you ever want to be within 5 miles of her? Also, if she's now part of some "new age" religion (cult?), who is to say she wouldn't abduct your son and run off? Steer this ex-wife away from your house at all costs. Let her sleep in the cold in the streets. Story 4: Absolutely not the jerk here. If the OP had let her in, you can almost guarantee that he would've been carjacked here. Shady people love to use the "poor me please help" card on unsuspecting people to rob them or worse. OP did the right thing here. Story 5: OP is not a jerk here. The gf is just being a jealous self-centered drama queen. There was no boundary crossed here. Glad that Timmy liked the watch.

Story 3: honestly, may disagree but this sorta just shows how completely botched the child and divorce courts are. It took a mother who did not care at all for OP to get his child. He was accused of things to the point of a body cam with no repercussions. His house broken into with no repercussions. And through all of that she still had power over the child. This is why marriage is honestly outdated and why men need to becareful who they have kids with. So honestly, OP should not let her in his home. Let her be homeless this will ensure she can never do anything with that child.

Golden Rule to having a Car. NEVER pick up Strangers. It sounds mean, but if the situation makes you uncomfortable then it just that something is wrong. Even if I was walking on the side of the Road, I would never try to get a driver's attention and if a Car stops near me, I would ignore it and continued onward. As for the Last Story. My ex wife ended up living in a tent after she left me and our 2 kids for another man and told my 6 year old son the divorce would be his fault 2 weeks before she left because he saw her kissing the other man and told me. She decided to leave got knocked up and her and her new boyfriend got kicked out of where they where staying. I still let her come over and have dinner with the kids and wash her clothes until I found her washing her boyfriends clothes in my washer. Then when she was having dinner with is she started crying to the kids about not having a place to stay to get them to try and talk me into letting her stay with us. I shut it down right there and told her she was no longer welcome in my house if she was going to try to manipulate our kids. I got full custody in the divorce and moved 300 miles away and the only time she has seen our son was when I drove to bring him to see her. My daughter wants nothing to do with her she was old enough to see what was happening and is being adopted by my current wife. My son still talks to her because I refuse to bad mouth her but she is in and out of jail for theft and drunk driving/ drugs so he is absolutely not a priority for her. I didn’t feel bad for a second about her living in a tent she cheated in me destroyed my son emotionally he still blames himself for the divorce after years of counseling.

The roommate in story one reminds me of an autistic friend. Very similar symptoms, including the extreme germophobia and extreme reactions to any conflict. (My friend is not late on his rent though, due to not being functional enough to live independently). Many of these karens are really entitled jerks, but this woman might just be struggling with phobias and/or developmental disorders that are severely handicapping her.
