Story 3: Yeah, I agree. The "Family member is the owner" card is _such_ a common one to pull that I really don't blame her for being suspicious about it. You see stories where it's a bluff _all_ the time on Not Always Right, and only rarely is it actually true.

For the Gym Kids story, I think it's possible the food lady was being a Racist Karren when we find out at the end of the story that OP's dad is Black, and earlier in the story Karen was staring Daggers at the kids.

Story 5: you are not the jerk, why is the BF upset for, you need to pee, what is wrong with that, it takes a couple of minutes at most, why is it a problem? Honestly, this is a huge red flag, why would someone get upset about this, many of us have been in this situation and a normal behaviour is to stand guard when a woman need to go. His behaviour is not normal.

Story 1: Because of people such as that former coworker, it’s harder for actual workers seeking disability compensation to get the help that they need. A friend of mine went through hell and back to get worker’s compensation. He was legitimately eligible to receive it after an injury on the job. They accused him of “faking it”, then accused him of a “self-inflicted injury”…he had P.I. after P.I. scoping out his house to make sure he wasn’t going out. So ridiculous.

Her reaction to her age seemed weird tho. She spent 10 minutes telling us how she looked so young and everyone all the time kept thinking she was younger and when the Karen tells her she has a lot of tattoos for her age.... And she's confused what she meant by that? And the wait... How old do you think I am BS? 🙄....mmmm.... I don't get that. I look waaaay younger for my age and as soon as someone mentions it I say no, I'm older than I look, I don't wonder what they meant by "my age"

I disagree with the 'no jerks here' assessment on the training/gym story....she was an AH. The snack bar lady didn't need to be such a bitch to the kids. That wasn't part of her job. She could have simply told the kids to bring their dad over to confirm & authorize their first order and then they can run a tab. She treated the kids like they were known delinquents when it was completely unnecessary. She should have been either polite or neutral.

You're wrong. It's not like the lady told the kids to f**k off or something, she simply said no. Besides, we're not talking about small children here, the boys were 16 and 14. That's like the type of people who are most likely to lie about a parent's position to get free food. The lady would have had to be an idiot to even consider giving them the food, considering she couldn't be sure they were telling the truth.

For the girl from story 2: I can relate. I had a brain tumor when I was in 7th grade and that messed with lots of hormones and I stopped growing. I look like I could be in high school when I’m currently 29. I had an incident a few years ago when I went to Walmart to get some glue when the cashier told me that I had to show my id if I wanted to buy it. Even my dad told her that I was over 21 but she still said that I needed to show an ID to prove that I was an adult to buy some glue.

Last Story DNTJ Everyone needs to go to the bathroom. This BF was only thinking about himself and his favorite spot that you supposedly ruin because you had to go pee. Oh I'm sorry but your gf needed to go pee because of all the water you told her to drink and told her to tough it out. Once she couldn't hold it anymore you get upset and angry that she peed on outside on your favorite spot. Give me a break dude. If he cared about the OP, he would have been patient and let her go to pee first when she needed to go. I think the OP should dump him because i would bet he might dump her for ruining his favorite hiking spot all because the OP needed to pee. The Bf is the jerk here

20ish years ago a (former) friend of mine got a job at the same place as me (golden arches). He got promoted in matter of weeks to a management position. He promised me he wouldn't let the tie go to his head, he lied. Overheard he put in for a management position in my former hometown at a movie rental place. The hiring manager is a family friend so I tell him all about former friend. Family friend says "Who?" as he picks up former friend's application from the "call for orientation" pile and calmly puts former friend's application through the shredder.

I hate to tell that last boyfriend but she probably wasn't the first to "answer the call of nature" on that trail nor will she be the last so it sounds like he simply needs to grow up, I grew up living in the country and there isn't always a bathroom within range and you have to excuse yourselfand "go around a corner".

Last one, just let her go to the loo. A good hiker factors in a bit of extra time for the loo or if your pacings where off. And while i do think wild peeing is a important skill to develop early on it normally needs support

Story #2: I’m a 35 year old Male but when I ask people to guess my age just based on my appearance they guess that I’m in my late Teens/Early to mid 20s and when I tell them my actual age they’re actual surprised. I don’t have any Tattoos because I can’t afford them. Story #4: My Parents don’t let me cook anything because they don’t trust me not to burn the house down and I’ve actually picked up a cookbook recently however I’m only allowed to cook anything from my cookbook with my mom’s help.
