She will find the strength she needs to get clean. She is so articulate, clever & has so much potential, she just can not see it because she is just so beaten down & tired from the grind of running a habit. Spot on. Our brains are designed this way, that's why it's almost impossible to quit. Our brains become hijacked and tell us drugs are needed for survival.
@wwew24576893 жыл бұрын
@@ccinSFfruitloop the only thing I don’t like is we are told that we’ll always be addicts. That’s not true. It’s scientifically proven that when you change your thoughts, your brain literally changes. We all have the power to create our best lives and change our habits. Our minds are so much more powerful than most of us realize. We can transform ourselves just by changing our thoughts and shifting our focus. When we stop using drugs and start changing our thought processes, we change our brains. We are told that we will always be addicts because that keeps us in the dependent mindset. They want us to feel like we can never fully recover on our own; they want us to believe that we will always be dependent on someone or something because we will always suffer from addiction. That’s just not true, and I hope that the science continues to come to the surface so people can know they don’t have to be a victim to their own brains.

@@wwew2457689 partly true, I've been an addict on and off from age of 16 to the age of 50 with 3-4 yrs clean time in between. In Italy we have long term rehab up to 5 yrs. I've complited a therapeutic rehab of 3 yrs,daily intensives groups where you spill out your guts. I remember been at the end of the program in a half way house and still occasionally having dreams of me scoring or using drugs. I once asked a psicotherapist there if it was normal. He replied he occasionally has similar dreams and he had been clean 10 yrs. He told me the difference is that you don't act on it. Dope has a grip on you like no other substances. That is why they say once an addict always an addict. Even if clean You can never lower your guards. I remember on my clean times walking on the streets and suddenly smelling dope, you know that vinegar smells that dope has. So I don't know if what you say can be achieved. It may be different from individual to individual.

Christine, thank you for been 💯% truthful , I feel your pain and struggle. I'm sure you're remorseful for your failures as a parent, even if it's painful don't kill yourself over it; you've made some bad decisions but that wasn't you, that was your addiction making you behave that way. Unfortunately an addict can not function without heroin, it feels you can't even breeze, you can't walk, you can't talk, you can't think straight, it's like been in a body that isn't yours and its rejecting you. I hope, to give an idea, to ones who don't know, So everythings else became secondary. These people (I was one) needs help, telling them to stop isn't help, they know that. Help is convincing them to get into treatment, but not in two weeks, 3 weeks they need help as soon as they decide to receive it. Making the decision to give uo the only thing you live for isn't easy, so help must be available right then. I understand the system is under funded, but that's the only hope. MAL I love the new line of questioning, and it's done tastefully, Well done. You never let us down. "We are out there" , specially you my friend. 🙏💯🇮🇹💖 Blessings from. Italy. I had to edit it when I see You still managed to make her smile, with some gifts, after her sad story. You've got it in you my man, nobody can deny it.

This video broke my heart. She is the perfect example of what drugs steal from you. I can’t imagine how hard it is to come off this shit I feel for her. It’s so easy for people to say “ just stop doing drugs and take care of your kids.” But if you’ve never struggled with addiction you don’t know shit about it and you are just ignorant. I pray this girl somehow can find her way ❤️

Don’t say your family doesn’t care that you’re homeless. YOU don’t care that you’re homeless. They can only care as much as you care, respectfully. You can’t expect them to do all the heavy lifting especially when you’ve shown them you’re going to do what you want to do no matter what. A support system only works as back up support. It starts with you. Take the first step. Please get yourself some help. I’m sure once they see you doing your own work they’d love to jump in with you. Do it for you and your kids. Blessings

No disrespect and I mean no disrespect, but you comment is a comment of an idiot. Didn't you hear her say she tried to inpatient and they only kept her for 8 hours?? Have you ever been an addict before? Did you not hear her say she always felt like the black sheep of the family? Do you know what that feels like to have a parent always compare you to another sibling? The fact that your never good enough?? Her family should have done better. Be careful of what you say about people because God has a way of putting self righteous people in their place.

She’s incredibly sensible to test samples or bags of dope first if she doesn’t know where they come from. It must be incredibly hard being an addict to try and restrain yourself once you’ve got your drugs from doing the entire lot in one go. I think she’s got real potential. She pretty damn smart. It’s frustrating when the experts think they know better than the actual users who know themselves the best

Wow! The first 40 seconds, were heart breaking! I truly hope that she finds the help that she needs, and soon! Its so easy to get lost in the haze, and the constant chase, of addiction. Its sad that so many people are in so much pain, and see no other way to help it, than blatant self-destruction.

I pray for her and anyone still sick and suffering. I am sober off heroin/fent. One day it just clicked and the pain got so great that I made that choice to put it down. When people are struggling with addiction it is a living hell for them. I wish people would break the stigma against ppl with drug addictions. I can’t stand the stigma it is something I get so angry about.

Stay strong, you can get out, think of what you want your children and family to see you and be with you to enjoy there life with there mommy, they need you. If you get clean, your family will come around, give them time, but you have to do it for you first, you got this, you are an amazing, smart, strong person. classiest, most dignified vid on kensington ive seen. ty. i struggle to reconcile 99% of all these different channels motivation for putting kensington on center stage in the spotlight . with the need of kensingtons heartache to get some exposure.very early in our country we had humanzoos at the world fair...human 'oddities' in cages for people to stare at...i cant help but relate it to that, it just happens this is the first and only example of a perfect union of those 2 things------exposure w/ pure, unselfish motives. beautiful humanity...keepit up, some will follow your lead

My stepmother was a drug addict. She was murdered. Stabbed 52 times. Decapitated and mutilated. She was the nicest person I have ever met. She did take good care of me before she became addicted. She was so kind and gentle. She was better to me than my own mother. I loved her and wish I was old enough to take care of her when she became addicted. My grandmother didn't like me because I was the wrong color. My sister and brother had green eyes and light skin. So you can say I was really the black sheep of the family. I was disowned because I married out of my race. Oh well I turned out ok. My kids are all professionals. I left NY to get away from the mess.
