This is a huge testament on how open-minded the '60s populace was to far out sounds, as AMM actually garnered a bit of fame in London back then, and were even featured in Melody Maker.

A very important early influence on a young Syd Barrett. This album was a heavy influence on Syd's The Piper At The Gates of Dawn.

"I can drink those men under the table. I can--" "Around his neck he has the most unbeaten...(train whistle)" Classic stuff. That track is my favorite, but I had fun listening to this whole album many years ago when I bought it. These guys were The Original Innovators. Almost everything important came after them, except Stockhausen I guess.

@esseffdub99412 жыл бұрын
@@abanana2561 No, it really isn't. I don't have a problem with avante garde or experimental music, but this is just shit. It's scraping and banging sounds. Someone commented that it sounds like they need to oil their instruments. But there is no actual playing. It sounds like untalented children were given instruments then told to keep their neighbors awake for as long as possible. I get it that art can be very personal, but don't call this nonsense music. This was a con job, and it apparently fooled a lot of people.
