Co worker built one for him and I asked for him to build me one. After watching this video I can do it myself. Thanks new friend..

Little tip, loosely stuff the inside with a wool or Cotten and it will allow for a cleaner sound as well will take out any possibility of vibrations. It’s something that a lot of guys do in sound competitions to get a better sound quality
@taswesty5 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate, great idea. I will give it a go and see what happens

It adds volume to the box, if I remember correctly. If the box is built to the specs of the speaker, poly fil isn’t necessary.

No worries at all Tony. Are you going to make a video of your speaker build?
@TonyAlvestad6 жыл бұрын
tas westy I don't know man, I've never done any kind of tutorial videos so I wouldn't know where to start. I'm looking to do a set of 6.5 components and an 8 inch sub in a 20mm ammo can, is there a specific amplifier you would recommend? Thanks
@taswesty6 жыл бұрын
No need to do a tutorial. Just film your build and upload it. It would be great to see. Your build specs sound great but unfortunately I don't have the knowledge to recommend an amp. Might be worth shooting Kirby Meets Audio a message. I've learnt a lot from him, he knows his stuff.

looks very nice. are the two mdf pieces enough to stop the metal from resonating?
@taswesty6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mate. The MDF alone is not enough. Off camera I filled joints and gaps with sealant to fix the resonating

What kind of plastic box should I get for plye 6.5. 1/2 150watt marine speaker? To fit on the front
@pouf644 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate for the video! I'm building my own speaker ammo box using your design and similar component. I have a question about the power bank. Mine won't deliver power on the 12v port unless i press the bank push button "on". Is it the same with yours? Is there a workaround so I don't need to press the ON button to get power? Thanks a lot 👍
@pouf64Ай бұрын
@@jordee7069 thanks. Do you have a model to recomend?
@jordee7069Ай бұрын
@@pouf64 Yes. Toogle Switch Yes, it is possible to connect a toggle switch to turn the battery on and off. However, since you mentioned that the battery only works when you press the "on" button, it's important to understand how that button works. If the "on" button is a momentary switch (which only sends a signal while it's pressed), you might need an additional circuit, such as a relay or a latch circuit, to keep the battery on with a toggle switch. If the "on" button is a traditional on/off switch (which changes state when pressed), then you could replace or add a toggle switch in parallel that performs the same function. In summary, it is possible, but the solution depends on the type of button you are currently using to turn the battery on. If you're not sure what type of button it is, I recommend checking the battery's manual or consulting the manufacturer. There is a switched electronic board that automatically changes the power source when an external supply is connected, but it's not necessary to install such a board. I do it manually. : "On/Off to connect and disconnect the battery. My goal is to remove the XT60 terminal from the battery when I get home and connect the correct external power supply to work at home." I have a custom-made battery. LifePO4 Lithium with BMS protection and an XT60 terminal.

Could you help me find a good black plastic ammo box that two of these PLMR60W would both fit on the front for Bluetooth build? Thanks
@kylewilliams33065 ай бұрын
On amazon PLMR60W Product Dimensions says 7.4 x 7.6 x 7.1 inches so I was woundering if a plastic ammo box with theses dimensions 15.75"L x 8"W x 10"H. Would fit those speakers I listed ?

What happens if you don’t cut off the little box on the positive side of the jumper cables
@taswesty5 жыл бұрын
Nothing at all. The box contains diodes that stop current traveling in the wrong direction if you accidentally connect the terminals around the wrong way when jump starting a vehicle. I removed it to make packaging easier and because I was pretty confident I would wire it in correctly 😁

How long goes battery last?

The longest I have ran it on the battery was 10 hours and it still wasn't flat. So I'm not sure what the full battery life would be.
