If the world had not turned upside down (in more ways than one for us), we were headed to Dublin in 2022 (was the plan anyway) 2020 was to be Nova Scotia, 2021 was to be Alaska and 2022 (or fall back to 2023) was to be Ireland to Germany and a few places in between. Now, yeah, we have no plans right now except to get through the year. If we do make it over there, hope to see you.

I was holding my breath as you were pulling off that sticky tape,,,,I was thinking blue painters tape on that old Ural paint,,,lol.
@GoneUraling2 жыл бұрын
That was the 3M automotive masking tape I was using, not even the cheap stuff. I figured I would go with a racing sides motif if it pulled off the paint. I have a friend that owns a body shop. C (my wife) actually wants to repaint the whole thing, but I'm too lazy to take parts with perfectly good paint off to carry over there for paint. Perhaps I was tempting fate so I would go for a repaint.

Great channel, I've been watching it for years. The main thing is not to believe that TV shows bad things about Russia, this is a fake. I still remember the video with your dogs.

Thank you for the comment. I'm reorganizing my file system now to get a better (faster) workflow in Premier Pro and try to put out videos this year, going to start with the modest goal of 1 per month for both this channel and my h4bats channel. If that goes well for a couple months, I'll bump to 2 each.

I would never change a tire on the side of the road even though my rig carries to spare because for $20 a year over the $100 a year I pay for full coverage motorcycle insurance through Geico I get unlimited road service with a 75-mile limit because Geico pays better the tow services make it a point to show up promptly my sidecar rig popped out of first gear and rolled across a parking lot like a shopping cart and took out a brand new Honda Fit and that's what the owner had when he came out of the biker bar caved in the side of the car going 60 miles an hour $1,600 worth of damage Geico covered it no problem and they make great motorcycle commercials especially the ones with the caveman and the euro I love the little camper behind the sidecar rig that reads Nomad on the license plate

Just lookin at ur video. U have to open trunk of side car to open the ammo box .does the lid of ammo box open up all way or does it get stoped by the lid an spare wheel ?nice demo an explain of how u mounted the ammo box. Also what are the magnets for. And greetings from ireland.
@GoneUraling2 жыл бұрын
The lid does rest on the spare tire (which I actually find useful as I put stuff in the lid), but the can is fully open and no part of the lid obstructs access to the can itself. The can is also easily removable so if I did ever need to fully open it I can just take it out and sit it on the ground. One thing, do make sure to use rust preventative to treat the hinges etc...

FWIW, regarding those nylon spacers you mentioned: I am NOT a _"hoarder,"_ DESPITE what my ex-wife and our daughter might tell you...😊 That said, there are SO MANY TIMES that stuff I have saved -- like stuff stored in a junk drawer, only I never have it in an actual drawer -- has come in useful in some project or repair or whatever. Contrary wise, I know I have had stuff I discarded, *THEN* found some use for. _NON-MECHANIC SPOUSES_ will _NEVER_ understand this concept...😉

Another great video! Been quite awhile and have missed you. Are you folks going up to the CRAP rally end of March?
@GoneUraling2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, probably not. We've been staying closer to home or safe places like friends or family when we do travel and are traveling less. My reasons are personal and health related. I have a lot of footage to go through though, I never posted our trip to St. Paul in 2019 or to the Heindl rally or to New Orleans or Hug 2019 and our local(ish) trips are not without some footage. Then there are upgrades and maintenance and maybe I'll show what those magnets are for.
