@francesbernard2445
@francesbernard2445 3 жыл бұрын
The other day after answering the door again this time to 2 not only just the 1 salesmen from Telus not long before I was left wondering which visit to my front door from Telus within about a week was the clown car. Who cares? That 1 driver to whom the word no was good enough and then none of those 2 drivers asked for my life anyway. Besides. After experiencing what it is like myself as salesperson for young people now the only a 1 guy probable knew he was about to get fired for not making his sales quota anyway or he gave his only a week's notice that he was quitting. At any rate the whole shebang didn't scare me into buying more not less Telus services after cutting down large wild trees by myself in back yard. My guess is that the second visit pair was the clown car after the first guy from Telus had enough of them with more seniority.

Amen to that! Although to be fair to the Ammons family, I’ve heard this story at least three times before. It was a lot worse than Dr. G’s story and a priest, two police officers, two social workers, a nurse at the hospital and other witnesses described bizarre unexplained happenings. It was the nurse that saw the boy climb backward up the wall and up onto the ceiling then he flipped down onto the ground. The nurse ran screaming out of the room to get the doctor. Police even have photos from inside the house of evil spirits. The house was never rented out after the Ammons family moved out. In fact, they had trouble renting the place and the landlord lowered the price and it was too good to pass up for Ms. Ammons. It remained empty for years after she moved out. Then it was bought by that guy who had it bulldozed. I’ve no idea if this occurred or not. However, the devil does walk among us. More importantly, so does God. 😉♥️ Have a wonderful weekend!

YAY IT'S HERE! Note: Ammonia and bleach can also clear the house of the LIVING if they use them together. Could also explain dizziness. Why didn't anyone think to call Ghostbusters? Children are very susceptible to believe anything their parents tell them - that's for sure. Once during dinner one of my boys, when he was five, picked up a brussel sprout on his fork, looked at it suspiciously, and asked me, Mom, what are these? do I like these? I seized the teachable moment and said That's a brussel sprout and yes, David, you love them. He then ate it and to this day likes brussel sprouts. True story. Great purple shirt, Dr Grande! @CarlyKpdx I have no clue how to repair someone suffering delusions, but who knows? May if someone approached them and said I can remove the demons and could do something that made them believe they could do it, maybe it would work. But they would still be subject to same delusions reoccurring it would seem. Re-education, reprogramming (as opposed to brainwashing), cognitive behavioral therapy might help, but overcoming delusional thinking needs to begin very early so that it’s not ingrained into the person to begin with. Above my pay grade.

As a Catholic, the part of this tale involving the priest is bizarre to say the least. The Catholic Church takes exorcisms very seriously and would never give a parish priest with no experience the permission to perform one. Perhaps this wasn’t a Catholic priest? If he was, he was part of the problem and not a solution.

True, unless he had experienced exorcists with him. I have personally experienced satan and his kingdom. I am a convert to Catholicism, and have been set FREE for many years. Disappointed Doc. I usually appreciate your insights and detailing of cases, but won't be watching any more of your videos. Normally, you are respectful and professional in review of cases, but this one you tried to find your inner stand-up comedian... which fell flat. You came across as smug, snarky, unprofessional and disrespectful. I am a skeptic, but this case involved children, reports of abuse, child protective services and a lot of professionals who have their reputations tied to their involvement. Yet some smug KZbinr thinks he has the right to be disrespectful in an attempt to pander to low-bar (and low-wit) humor. You lost a steady viewer. Revisit your education when it comes to professionalism.

I think an important thing to note though, is how can we explain the several eye witnesses who were all professionals within their own field? Why would the CPS worker lie about seeing the son walk up the wall and then literally quit her job and move out of Gary? And the cop who experienced the paranormal while investigating their house? I don't know, I'm just confused how the eye witnesses who were separated from the family would want to add layers of fabrication onto this story. I honestly don't find anything about this story funny, whether it's true or not, because either way we know that this family clearly went through a lot of distress and the children literally got taken away from their mother and experienced a lot of shit. I find it distasteful to even try to joke about this, to be honest.

Chill! I do believe in the supernatural, but sometimes people thrive on these experiences because the real world is too painful or painstakingly boring. Even professional people are not immune. Blaming everything on demons makes dysfunction, bad luck or poor judgment palpable. It also could be addicting. You would garner a lot more attention, which is a commidity when so many people live invisible lives in their communities. You would be an anomaly having demons and ghosts so very interested in you. As usual I laughed out loud at Dr Grande's rendition. Again, comic relief. Demons hate it. 🤢

It would be easier for me to write off if it had just been the family and their local priest. The fact that CPS, medical professionals, and law enforcement all wrote reports detailing some of these events makes me a lot more apt to believe whatever was happening was somehow paranormal. I don’t necessarily believe in satan or demons, but something was definitely off here, and it wasn’t just the mother’s imagination.

Skepticism is a healthy trait, but not to the point of total exclusion of belief in/ display of the supernatural, as exhibited by atheist Joe Nickels. I, my sister and brother all experienced preternatural phenomena as children, after my brother and sister played obsessively with a ouija board back in 1964. My brother became possessed at age 14. He was yelling "get it out of me" while clawing at his chest and arms. My father sat him in a simple bedroom chair and called paramedics. My brother was just staring as if in a trance. I was 11 yr old when I witnessed this. While waiting for the paramedics, my father tried unsuccessfully to lift my brother off the chair. When the paramedics came, all 3 of these grown men plus my father couldn't budge my brother off the chair. They ended up carrying him down the stairs, still seated in the chair. He was taken to a mental hospital and never came back. He has since passed on. My sister was plagued with demonic house infestations throughout her whole life. I personally witnessed things flying around. The cat she owned would hunch with its hair on end and hiss at something invisible. She had a formal Catholic house exorcism done in 1995. Things died down dramatically, but never left. One day about 8 years after the exorcism, I visited her. I, my sister and brother in law were all having a pleasant chat at the kitchen table. I felt a need to pray for them, so I excused myself and said I was tired and was going to lay down on the couch for a nap. No one knew my intention to pray for them. I started to pray silently and mentally. The minute I started the Our Father, a large wall picture flew off the wall and landed in the opposite corner of the room. Coincidence, one might say? I think not.

I would like to shed a little light on the Catholic Church's position regarding the possibility of demonic possession.Firstly, any reports of demonic activity will be met with scepticism and circumspection, however, If after ruling out any other possible causes of the disturbance, ie mental illness, substance abuse, and environmental irregularities etc, there are sufficient grounds to warrant the intervention of a trained exorcist, then and only then will the priest, begin the process of exorcism. Nothing will be rushed or any assumptions made regarding the authentisscity of the supernatural activity until the priest is left in no doubt, that a demonic manifestation has occurred, usually by some previous dabblings with the occult, tarot cards, seances, and the like. Only a very few cases of suspected possession are accepted as supernatural phenomena, the vast majority are either disproven or found to have other causes. The catholic church does not accept demonic possession easily and will try to deter anyone, from making claims, that they are under satanic influences, but does hold the position that such things do exist.

The greatest sin of science is to start with the conclusion and work our way backwards. We all interpret a set of given facts or events according to our (pre determined) worldview. Dr. Grande is no exception to this. I have experienced "ghostlike supernatural phenomena" twice in my life in different scenarios. Anybody with a purely rational-materialistic mindset will discount this and find alternative explanations. That's okay. In life, most of the time, we learn and are shaped by our own experiences. Often, even if we think we empathize, we truly only understand things once we experience them ourselves. This goes for all (normal) things, not just "supernatural" phenomena etc. Rationally speaking, mental illness and demons would not exclude each other, regardless of what was actually present in this story. If one does not believe in demons or any sort of supernatural phenomena then this explanation will be discarded before any form of inquiry has even begun. If you lived in the middle ages and you would explain things we know to be true today, you would be hung or ostracized. I don't know what happened in the reality of these purported events, but I do not possess the hubris to claim that I do.

Well said! I have often stated the difference between a skeptic and a believer is ONE experience. That's all it takes. Mental illness and spirit communication more often than not, go hand in hand. Through my years of research, I've found it be because our brains are designed to not see spirits on a daily basis because it would be too confusing and overwhelming for us. A brain without any disorders or chemical imbalances, therefore has that built in protection. Mental illness and chemical imbalances make that protective shield thin or completely disappear., thereby making the person open for communication.

Gonna copy and paste a reply I just posted: I've experienced some things that are genuinely terrifying and unexplainable. This happened with my ex husband, we experienced it together, years ago. He is staunchly against the idea of "supernatural occurrences" but that did not stop him from running out of our home in total panic. He still admits he cannot explain it. I have not experienced anything since that period of time. I used to chalk it up to mental illness until I experienced it first hand myself. We are humans and are arrogant enough to assume everything we see and can observe, is all that there is. I am not denying that people lie all the time and make stuff up, I just don't believe it's all BS anymore. This all being said, this story seems so very silly and untrue.
