This might be the push I need to try paint correction on my own as a "weekend warrior." I've always been afraid of the capital investment into starting to do paint correction, especially with all the different pad and liquid combinations out there. Going to give the the AMMO Polishing Line a strong consideration!

Huge congratulations on the new polishing line!! I'm sure you put tons of work into this! I remember years ago you saying you tried making a polishing line and that it wasn't up to market standards. So impressive what you've been able to build and accomplish over all these year's, Larry. Hope to meet you someday 🙌

Congratulations on the huge collaboration with *Rupes Italy / Rupes USA* to release an official AMMO+Rupes polishing kit! . . Also, kudos to *"Buff Daddy" Kevin Brown* and his insight. At 1:55 minutes, he raises "PPE" to a new dimension. LOL!!! It was hilarious to see him spread suddenly the car polish (body lotion) on his arms and face. I am looking forward to your using new "exfoliate" polish in the near future.

Man, as much as I love some of the modern day polishes and pads we have today, this is awesome what your doing! Your taking things back to how they used to be! Simple, and logical. I seems like once things started taking off, and more and more companies were coming out with products things got more confusing....and honestly complicated. But back in the back (20yrs ago) when I started, the pads are what really did the correction....there wasnt really a million different polishes to choose from. It was all in the pad you used. Love where your going man!!!

Larry, I've been watching you for as long as I can remember (I still remember the video of you cleaning your wife's Subaru in a driveway) but I just recently got into actually cleaning my own cars. I just bought my first polisher and these products are a game changer for me because it really simplifies the process for someone like me who just wants to be able to clean and polish their own vehicles without too much headache. Thanks for making amazing products and pricing them fairly! I will definitely be giving these pads/compound a try :)

Larry, thank you for this. This past weekend I attempted my first paint correction on my vehicle, and it was before you had released all of this to the public. One of the nice things about your system, is that it's simple. If you go to other detailers, a lot of them will have a million different types of compounds and polishes. I'm not saying that maybe stronger compounds don't have their place, but sometimes there's so much product overlap. It just becomes overwhelming for a novice. Reviewing this video, I realized where I made mistakes, and where I could have improved. I'm already looking forward to the next time I get to do it, but I think I'm going to let my skin sealant do its job for the next couple months before I attempt it. Again, thank you for your holistic approach, and for being so clear.

Would you be willing to explain how you use the test panel to complete the rest of the car? Do you bump up machine speed or pressure when correcting the car? Or do you literally just do exactly what you did for the test panel, just at a larger scale? It seems to me that tree passes per "section" would be a little tedious and time consuming, but maybe this is necessary.

I'm super excited for this! I've looked at using all-in-one compound and polish fluids and this is so so much better! One question though: if we use the cutting wool pad, do we need to then switch to the finishing pad with fluid or go straight to final finishing pad pass without fluid? Thanks again Larry!
@AMMONYCSTUDIO Жыл бұрын
After using Sheer Cutting Pad, in most cases you would finish with the WÄFL + X-Foliate then no liquid for the final pass.

Hey Larry, congratulations on the polishing kit finally out. One detail I am not finding is the operating voltage of the polisher. Is is US-only 110V? or there will be a Euro-style mode for 220V? Or maybe even 12VDC?

US only at the moment. Working on making AMMO more available overseas soon. Thanks for watching!

I absolutely do but typically after the entire car is polished. The emollients and lubrication in X-Foliate lend to an easy buff off.

Hey Kevin Brown introduced me to the 21” years ago. I find the larger throw accomplishes work faster, control and balance is maintained, and with our straight cut pads very precise. Due to this modification, it will not feel much different than a 15. However, we offer the pads in 6, 5, and 3 for everyone. Hope that clarifies!

you’re always mentioning the hardness of the paint and how it changes your approach to polishing. How are you able to determine the hardness of the paint?
@miniaturemachinist6098 Жыл бұрын
Harder paints or clear coats are harder to scratch but they also take longer to polish, or you have to use a courser compound before polishing. Soft paints or clear coats are easier to scratch and they are easier to polish. It's something that you learn from experience.
