Julieta Venegas helped me learn Spanish. I bought some of her albums and listened to them over and over because of her eccentric tastes in styles and instrumentation made it fun to learn the words and slang, meaning of the songs. Much more fun than only books and dictionaries. If you are learning a language, find bands you like that sing in that language, it's definitely a great tool..

I wish Julieta would write her next album in english, some songs in portugues and french, because it would open her to other cultures. She doesn´t have to be false and fake as Shakira, but if she continues with her spanish it´s ok, Maybe the term of queen of latin pop or queen is not exactly the adjetive she likes for herself but i would say that she is the most representative, for the way she makes music, she is kind of Queen, Prince, Elthon John, Madonna, of this magnitude
