Amon Amarth are the single greatest live performance metal band on planet Earth. I am proud to have been a fan long before their recent success. While I am sad I will not be seeing them at dingy - but awesome - venues like the Granada in Lawrence, KS again... they were just as amazing back then as they are now.

I'd say maiden has the best live performance but amon amarth is damn good tho

I saw Amon amarth open for Children of bodom in a tiny little gymnasium (croatian cultural centre) in 2006. They've come a long way since then!

some might say "Amon Amarth" is for melodic-death-metal/Norse-Mythology known the same way as "Sabaton" is known for historical lessons, always look up the lyrics, even cannibal corpse has them.

I can definitely say that when you get the chance to see Amon Amarth life.....you will be immersed in the life of a Viking. When I saw them perform Ozzfest meets Knotfest 2016 they performed Raise your horns, The Way of Vikings and Twilight of the Thunder God......The energy that they produced was crazy...they got 20,000+ Metalheads to stand and start chanting with them.
@GreenEyedCrow973 жыл бұрын
Amon Amarth is absolutely amazing live, if you ever get the chance definitely go see them. The two vikings fight on stage during The Way Of Vikings, Loki ( skull face, curved Horns and green eyes) appears during /I think/ Deciver of the Gods (that or Father of the Wolf), for Twilight Of the Thunder God Johan(vocals) starts with slaming mjolnir (the giant hammer) onto the stage and then later fights Jormungandr (the dragon). I've only been able to see them headline a show once and it was at a very small venue in MD, 200 some max standing only, in 2019 so I am likely incorrect on some of these and there's probably some that I'm missing, if so someone will correct me im sure lol You guys should definitely check out their tracks Raise Your Horns, At Dawn's First Light, and Sheild Wall. On another note, when am I gonna see more of Gojira? 😄 literally any song is a great choice to react to, I hope that you'll check out more from them soon! I'm loving your reactions and can't wait to see more! ^_^

I saw Amon Amarth opening for Dimmu Borgir 2007. They didn´t have anything special on the stage except Johans drinking horn (Johan Hägg is the vocalist). Dimmu Borgir had lots of things going on the stage as they were touring after In sorte Diaboli had came out. Things have changed a bit after that 😂.

@@Gorila_Animations the vid is made with takes of different moments of the show. Johan is fighting It with Mjörlnir, so I imagine it is from "Twilight of the thundergod".

Amon Amarth is one of only a few Death Metal bands that I collect. Mainly because there's just enough change of melodic tempos that keeps the songs interesting. Amon Amarth, Children of Bodom, Norther, Revocation, and DEATH itself are the only Death Metal bands I collect.

This video is basically a compilation of the entire Setlist of the 2019 Berserker tour. Only the golden confetti is from this song. The rest of the show bits are from other songs: The horned figure is supposed to be Loki and comes out during the song "Deceiver of the Gods" The Viking head with the drummer on top rises high during "Prediction of warfare" The fighting Vikings are on stage during "The Way of Vikings" The huge stone statues appear during "Guardians of Asgaard" And the dragon is supposed to be the Midgard serpent Jormungandr and appears during "Twilight of the Thundergod" Awesome concert. Awesome show Can you believe that there are such elitists that they were pissed at the show being too goofy and refuse to go to another Amon Amarth concert? Jesus, one might think you go to a concert to listen to your favourite songs being played live, not because of a misguided sense of what "true" death metal is supposed to look like.

0'22" Ciao Sir Travis respect my Friend ;-) This is a Band celeb in metal along with i think not so many other extreme metal type of bands ! I have to say that their performance is theatrical-ironical and the sounds are very clear . The drums are very listenable in all passages not particularly quick but VERY precise . 2'05" The laugh of Ttavis is always GOLD ! The drum rolls/fills are one of the other aspect i like the most . First roll in sincopated upbeat is around 2'20" and bytheway i appreciate listening well also the bass line ! Second roll fill is around 2'28"-2'30" and yet well started my friends ! 2'49" Charming Piccola GRANDE SuziQ...It's brilliant this legit dramatic performance and Travis empathy . 3'10" It's Gold yes ! Thanks for the empathy with us followers and your Words ! Fill around 4'08" another technic moment . And i have to pointing the musicality of those racking toms . 4'17"-4'23" Cool passages 4'28"-4'31" with double strokes accents double timing effects on toms 5'00" King 5'25" When Travis laughs or do this tricks is so on Top , so inspired and hilarious . 5'40"-5'42" Guys this bass is always clear . 5'45"-5'48" This rolls are cool musical and come from the greats (*who ? Many and different like Billy Cobham , Jeff Porcaro , John Bonham , Buddy Rich and sorry for the others...) . Good use of timing , good interpretation of the musicality of drumming . 5'55" Even Mc Brain i feel in this rolls-fills . High use of Racking Toms in sincopation and double patterns . 6'25" The technic is here my friend ! He strokes always half time before the metrical sequence and on that upbeat he built the more lovely rythm . 6'47" Listen to this fill over toms . 6'53" Yyyesss this is what i like 7'00"-7'05" Even ghost note (between 7'03" 7'04" circa) with toms.. . 7'26" 👌 7'30" Theater ! 7'39" Fill over crashes . 8'22" Like very much the sort of inverted rolls in Portnoy style starting to the greater Tom going to the smaller ! All the End is tasty and technical

I saw them In Rochester NY... at a venue I honestly didn't care for due to having seen 10 or more shows there and the sound was always horrible. That being said, it was among the best 3 live metal shows Ive ever seen (Devil Driver & Gojira), they are so much better live and the singer took time between most songs to talk to the crowd and keep the energy going. It was amazing.
