Holy Fuckin Shit.... This remake is fuckin amazing..!!!! This was the 1st tour I saw Amon Amarth so this has sentimental value. It was a small club, Jaxx in Springfield Virginia they where supporting Marduk but Marduk couldn't make it because of passport issues.. AA became headline... Then the tour fell apart because of lack of interest..!! Can you imagine that now a days.... How far this amazing band has come.. To my story There where only 30-40 people in the club and AA where selling there own merchandise.. Olavi sold me my T-shirts and I met Johan. He was so nice and he made sure all the fellas signed my CD. No one else cares but I'll never forget it and what made me faithful fan ever sense... Amazing Why they are my favorite band..... I've seen so many times I've lost count...

@@ThePursuitofHappiness1988 considering the conversation to Christianity over 1000 years ago wasn't so peaceful for our ancestors and so this song I think is depicting the anger for those who burnt / beheaded our family for having an alternative view on religion due to them people already having their own gods and then roman Christians pretty much said - conversation or beheading infront of your family and village to set example for the next heathen who wants to ignore the love and joy of Jesus I'd say you would be pretty pissed off too considering 😅 it's not a song to instill war into someone of different faith I believe its more a song to express the anger of those killed many years ago 💔

Just remember that the Christians won in 1066. They weren't the pussies like pagans seem to think lol. I mean, just look up St. Boniface. All the Scandinavian countries are still Christian Kingdoms. Let the pagan larpers have their fun. Their current worshipping methods have very little in common with the ancient pagans anyway, which makes the whole religion kinda silly in my eyes. Amon Amarth kicks lots of ass, but they never sing about how the Christians got their justice and won in the end (and are still thriving to this day).

Awesome! Some changes that I noticed right away: - the whole song is tuned down a whole step. (B standard -> A standard) - "Masters of war torment every soul Rape every whore that carries the cross" became "Masters of war torment every soul Ensalve everyone that carries the cross" on the 2nd repeat at 2:37 - Johann Hegg phrases some parts an octave lower and stretches some growls differently. I cannot decide witch version I like more, they both sound great. But just by analyzing it, I now know how to play it on guitar. YOU GOT ME HYPED AGAIN!

Amon Amarth introduced me to the more extreme subgenres of Metal when I was around 15 I think. Before that I had mostly listened to classic Heavy Metal, Thrash Metal and Hard Rock. As well as some Alternative Metal and Nu Metal. I turn 27 this year and not once did I feel let down by this band. Loved all of their albums and music videos but where they really excel imo is live. Been to several concerts and festivals and always had a great time with this band.

I am absolutely more of a fan of the old school sound and edge of Amon Amarth before they broke through into mainstream success, but this remaster is pretty damn gnarly cleaned up.

This is the Amon Amarth that I carry with me. Very nice new ideas rendered into an already great song. Fantastic video - no hokey concepts and screenplay; all perfect visuals for the song.
