I feel that this is the strongest song Amon Amarth ever made. I love the prominent black metal style of the guitars in the death metal environment the band mostly plays.
@fenrirunshackled43194 жыл бұрын
The vocals are also somewhat black metal inspired imo, more drawn out, higher pitched, and having a mournful quality to them.

We storm ahead with swords'n shields For victory we ride We fight the world on these battlefields To re-erect the pagan pride We draw the blood of those in our way It's 'victory or die With pounding, raging fury we slay Now christian hounds will pay Charge ahead, no retreat No mercy, none shall live To us there is no defeat No remorse to give A wind of power blows from the north The enemy shivers to the core We slay with strength, pushing forth Silence before the storm The gates of Valhall open up The ground beneath us shakes As Oden leads the Gods to war The Rainbow Bridge cracks Nothing can stop this final attack We carve up all in our path Now there is no turning back Final battle is here at last A feast awaits us when we get back Awaiting all that fought in wrath By the long fires we sit in glory And beer cools our soar throats We are few but strong in will The last with pagan blood We fought the world with burning steel Now we sit in Hall of Gods Pride and glory in our hearts Pride and glory in our hearts

I have been planning on making an amateur movie inspired by Amon Amarth and Norsic Culture - basically, it's a movie that theorizes on what would've happened if the Vikings invaded Frankia and England and obliterated the western culture; and norsic culture remained the dominant power of Europa.

it's quite sad that christianity has destroyed the original europan religions which had much longer tradition than christianity, europans lost their identity with their religion and they have been united into "the western world"
@bjrntiller42939 жыл бұрын
You're right. If you really look at Christianity, they took a lot from us and turned it into their own religion.... Christians lack originality. The God's are real, anyone with Norse blood will wake up eventually. Odin just leaves breadcrumbs until we find the destination.

What's with the loudness, you can't just upload a video with loudness like this, it could damage hearing for several 1000 people. And I had it to 30% on YT, image having it at 100%. Plus a headphone amplifier and in-ear headphones and welcome tinnitus.
