Hey dani, on one of your previous videos i mentioned a arboliva build... Well i am happy to say i finally beat torterra b with it. EV spread: 252 sp atk and the rest diatributed evenly between HP and defense. Moveset was giga drain, sunny day, terrastal pulse and growth. Item is either shell bell or metronome. Strat: 1x giga drain then sunny day. Giga drain till stats reset then tera then growth. Then giga drain till victory. RNG can rlly mess with you here but i found most sucess with drifblim and a intimidator. I used drifblim npc for the burn but u could use any status npc. Hope that helped!

congrats! i've been putting off arboliva because I had a no-intimidator NPC team locked in. I may run it soon. Planning to include charm, may as well debuff attack since it can. Also, even though terrain pulse is usually arboliva's strongest move, in this case grass knot is stronger because torterra is so heavy. I was looking at the damage calcs and what seems to really hold arboliva back is the fact that the grassy terrain powers up wood hammer. charm should help with that. glad your build worked out for you.

@DaniSoloRaids sounds good Dani, I also just ran it a little bit more, Giga Drain is having a bigger success. I'm getting almost half time left

@@PogoAqua oh yeah giga drain is always good to include when it's an option. on builds that don't have room for two attacks, giga drain and metronome are the best. if there's room for a 2nd attack, i like to include both giga drain and grass knot, use a shell bell, and then switch between giga drain and grass knot depending on how much HP I need to recover. i would not run grass knot without giga drain unless it was a species that couldn't learn both.

i would run taunt to stop the second shell snash

@@masonkline2644 arboliva can't learn taunt. ive been running taunt on a lot of my builds that can learn it though. that includes meowscarada, floragato, serperior, zarude, and ogerpon.
