This song is my favourite, too! Such a beautiful and powerful song, gives me chills every time I listen to this. As you said, this album is a masterpiece. I've also found how great of a songs "Heart of Giant" and "Daughter of Hate" are, I just keep discovering more things of this album the more I listen to it.

I was listening to the album two days ago in the morning and when this track showed up, I was like "wait, is this Anneke?" and all of a sudden I was online and I've realized they put the vid like an hour before from the same exact day. This track is fantastic in any way. I've been listening to Amorphis for a few months (I know who they were, I just didn't check them out before) and I can say is one of the more complex bands I've ever known. I love this song so much, it's my new favorite. Just so flawless with Anneke, this one is going to be impossible to ever beat. Tomi is a legend of my small(ish) home town Lohja, and just a great guy not just an artist. I'm currently obsessed with this song. The composition seems relatively simply but it's soooooo catchy and melodic and Anneke's soaring voice is beautiful and her voice + Tomi's clean and harsh vocals sounds so good!! :D Haha I love how happy the song is making you ^_^

Great song on a truly amazing album. It's going to take something very special to top this one for my album of the year! Plus it help Anneke does guest vocals, she always brings something special to every project she's involved with. Been a fan ever since The Gathering, saw those guys a ton when I was much younger (95/96-ish) and she just keeps popping up in other projects I love like Devin Townsend. Helps she's a local, in fact got to see her live again this past week with the residential orchestra ;-) Shame about the copyright strike, doesn't seem to have any legal bearing whatsoever given the way in which you guys, and reaction channels in general, use these songs. Generally no ad revenue is made, the material in question is used for review or satire, while the very nature of reaction channels gives the video transformative value (though that's a legal extremely grey area, same goes for lets play-series). Heck you guys most likely drive more sales towards labels and bands alike, simply by exposing people to new music. Come to think of it a spurious copyright claim is illegal in and of itself, not that such a thing is going to stop scammers, automated bots and those wanting to silence consumer criticism from still filling them. It's sadly enough a very one-sided burden of proof..........when will a claimant get a counter strike for filling false infringements? Still, better safe than sorry. KZbin is after all, and quite sadly, extremely defensive and in the camp of claimants as they do not want to loose even more advertisers and their essentially protected status as a platform. And lets not forget that Google still runs KZbin at a loss, though certainly a loss they can carry.

I love Nightwish and Amorphis and fully agree that this had to be the Sunday video. It is a fantastic album from a brilliant band. The album is excellent and I really enjoy 'We Accursed' from it; something a bit different. I did wonder during your review about the songs in the background! Luckily, it was hard to hear much of them ...

I only realize what I had done with the background songs the next day....I was like...shit....I just kinda leaked 3 songs...I screwed up. Gladly it is fainted enough and nobody from the band or label had an issue, but it was a lesson learned. Going forward on reviews of albums before the release date I will include only songs that have been released already.

Already a classic... His melodic and harsh vocal are amazing. One of the most gifted singers i know. Last Albuns "Winter's Sleep" song was a preview for this new album and its fabulous. Heart of a Giant is as great as well. Best metal album of the year for sure.

I'm honestly really surprised by how popular this track was off the new album. I love the new album, but Amongst Stars was a standout for me. I figured it would be too "soft" or "poppy" for most Amorphis fans/metalheads, but I'm glad to see the positive reaction. The Bee, The Golden Elk and Daughter of Hate were other standouts for me as well.

Strange thing about this album so awaited. It is my opinion of the big Amorphis fan since late 90's. So, as an old fan I can't here anything new in this album despite such great things as Anneke's vocals in this song, middle eastern melodies in a couple of songs, still fantastic Tomi's vocals (wich is better and better from album to album), very good quality of production and recording. I listen to this album and I can't feel a real ecstasy if you know what I mean. Moreover, I feel like I've already heard this before((

Anneke and Tomi together is just absolutely fantastic. Only thing I wish they would have done different would have had Tomi duet the chorus with Anekke, clean vocals or harsh. I would have to agree that this is my favorite track from the album as well. This album is just absolutely fantastic. I can't praise it enough. Obligatory recommendation, Grave Digger - Twilight of the Gods.
