You have done Amorphis and Stratovarius. Now you have to do Sentenced. They were the big three Metal bands in Finland in mid-nineties! Imagine we really hadn't more great metal bands then now we have a "few" more.

Amorphis is one of my favorite bands of all time, and this song is incredible. They have a new album coming out next Spring! Btw, a great song to add to your list would be Nightwish's - The greatest show on earth (Live in Tampere) or Ensiferum's Token of Time

Dude, I felt so bad for Ruben, I messaged him and asked him to delete the video, he was trying to help and people shitting on him. People don't realize his kindness. We don't monetize our videos, so we are looking at this as a way for those that enjoy our content to help out if they can the channel. If people don't want to donate then don't, nobody is forcing anybody....but some of the comments there Ruben doesn't deserve it. I asked him to delete it, he said he won't. Dammit, totally missed you reacting to Hallatar back then. Because that would have been the better place to request you reacting to Trees of Eternity - Broken Mirror. Story time: When I returned to Metal from my years long hiatus, one of the first albums I stumbled about was in fact Amorphis' Circle and I immediately fell in love with their music. And on their very next album, Under the Red Cloud, there was this song that had a beautiful, haunting female voice I just needed to learn who it belonged to. This way, I stumbled about Aleah Stanbridge's project Trees of Eternity. Some waiting later, their album Hours of the NIghtingale was released and it wasn't before the first reviews came in that I learned about Aleah's untimely death. It's not often that you get to sing your own requiem (one of the songs actually is called "My Requiem") but that was exactly what had happened and it just makes the music so much more powerful,especially in a year that my dad had died and that also hadn't been my best year in general. Oh and as far as Amorphis goes: Bad Blood or The Four Wise Ones from their last album are very good (but to be honest, they are all, those guys simply can't write bad songs). Also a great live band, I got to see them in 2016 with Arch Enemy and Nightwish (together with my daughter, who is the biggest Nightwish fan since then)

I really like Amorphis' newest album. From it 'Sacrifice' would be my pick for you, great song. Or if you want old school Amorphis 'Black Winter Day' is legendary.

I'd rather recommend Bad Blood to check out for someone who wants to get a better taste of the album. Though Sacrifice is definetly one of the best songs on the album, most of the other songs are quite growl-heavy and thus you could get a wrong image of the album. Every Amorphis album is built to tell an own story and Sacrifice feels a little more like a song from "Circle" (correct me if you think I'm wrong)

Sampo from the album Skyforger or Into Hiding off of Tales from the Thousand Lakes are both great listens. Highly recommend those.

Always fun to watch Amorphis reactions ^^ And I can highly recommend watching that live DVD, it's absolutely wonderful. Many have spoken of Amorphis' heavier side, but it wouldnt do to ignore their lighter tracks. Most of their singles are actually rather "radiofriendly" melodic rock that are loaded with deliciously catchy riffs. While they have a solid death metal past and influences they have also ventured into prog rock territory occasionally (especially on their late 90s-early 00s albums), and the lead guitarist Esa Holopainen loves utilizing proggy delay effects on guitar riffs and melodies. Towards and Against and Sky is Mine have probably their greatest riffs that are using delay effect.

It is from Where The Oceans Burn. I have both those albums, the band sent them to us. That is pretty much the reason we have never done it, it is because I am super familiar with it. BRHG is one of my absolute favorite bands, and we consider those dudes friends.

Amorphis is an amazing band :) awesome that you want to get deeper into them. I'd recommend Silent Waters and Silver Bride. Both songs are even softer than this one and just make you feel good. I have two suggestions from other bands for you. Nevermore - This Godless Endeavour (imo one of the best metal songs ever written) Orphaned Land - Ocean Land (a fantastic band from Israel that play a mix of Doom, Prog, MeloDeath and Folk Metal. They use a lot of oriental instrumentation and sing about the Islam, Christianity and Judaism, their similarities and what unites them.)

Hey guys, I was wondering if you could do Babymetal, for 2 reasons 1. They're awesome 2. Next Finnday you might want to revisit Finntroll. I know most people would suggest songs Trollhammaren or En mäktig här. I would advice against En mäktig här, not because it's not a great song -- it's an incredible song -- but because you get much more out of it once you've listened more of Finntroll and gotten used to their sound. If it's one of the first songs you hear from them, you might miss some of the cheek and irreverence going wrt its light musical style. Instead, I'd go for Nedgång. It's a little on the harder and darker side, but it nicely showcases the drama and all the small musical theatrics they put on their albums. If you were to do a double billing, I'd suggest the band Tukkanuotta and the song El Matador. Yes, the band does simple humorous lyrics about alcohol and drugs (in Finnish), which might put some people off or write them off as a joke, but their use of slang and some of their rhymes and alliterations and verbal acrobatics in general is something to respect. Also, I'm sure people would provide you with translations of the lyrics.

In loan translation it means 'Light and Twilight'. Ossian is a hungarian band that was created in 1986 but they're still performing and relealsing new albums in almost every year. Furthermore, they were performing with Helloween in 1987, and they played with the Iron Maiden in 1988. After the concert the members of the Ossian gave some t-shirts for the Iron Maiden as a gift. And in the official live clip of the Maiden England that was recorded in 1988 you can see that Adrian Smith is wearing the Ossian's t-shirt.
