The video is really realistic in the sense that when we Finns go for a walk in the forest, very often there are metal musicians swinging and jumping around with their instruments. After a moment of astonishment, you notice that a local metal band is filming their latest music video and you just continue your walk 😉

In the finnish mythology. In the underworld (Tuonela) everything is backwards when compared to the human world. Left is right, up is down and so forth. There the world river turns around and becomes 'Tuonen joki', the river of the land of the dead. In this form the river flows from north to south and upwards again towards the upper world. In the heavens it returns to the spring at the roots of the birch tree. From there it flows down through the skies once more as a world river. This is the eternal cycle of life.

Począwszy od pierwszego wokalisty Pasi Koskinena aż do teraz, to dla mnie najlepszy zespół metalowy na świecie, jak dotąd nie znalazł się nikt kto by ich pobił! Może bierze się to stąd że od dziecka fascynowała mnie Skandynawia, a oni jak nikt inny potrafią oddać klimat nie tylko Finlandii ale i właśnie całej Skandynawii.

🇫🇮 ❤ I really enjoyed sailing on the dark waters with you & Amorphis, which is one of the best metal bands in Finland & the whole world. Like this one, many of their songs are lyrically based on the Finnish national epic collection of ancient poems called Kalevala. The first edition of the Kalevala appeared in 1835, compiled and edited by Elias Lönnrot on the basis of the epic folk poems he had collected in Finland and Karelia. This poetic song tradition, sung in an unusual, archaic trochaic tetrametre, had been part of the oral tradition among speakers of Balto-Finnic languages for 2,000 years. The Kalevala marked an important turning point for Finnish-language culture and caused a stir abroad, as well. It brought a small, unknown people to the attention of other Europeans, and bolstered the Finns’ self-confidence and faith in the possibilities of the Finnish language and culture. P.S. Amorphis will perform live on 70 000 Tons of Metal in Miami, FL. on Jan 30th, which is the only time in 2023 from on their January to August tour listing.

Hello 2nd hand souls and greetings from Finland. I wanted to write you a comment, because I've been digging your reactions first to Nightwish and now Amorphis. What a great bands they both are. For me, as a Finn they both are familiar back from the nineties and "everyone" listened Nightwish more or less back then - but I was never a fan and never listened to them as a grown up. About fifteen years ago I found Amorphis and a year ago I started watching these reaction videos of them. As I watched, everyday there was Ghost Love Score as a suggestion in my feed. And I neglected it many months because I thought that after Tarja, it can't be good anymore... But one day I decided to give it a go and OH MY GOD 🤯🙈😍 So... today I'm a huge, huge fan of Nightwish and will be seeing them the first time in my life next summer 😁 Amorphis used to be my favorite band, now it's on second place (with Linkin Park). But yes, I'm so glad you've been checking out more Amorphis. I think you'd like Silent Waters or House of Sleep ( I'd recommend Official videos because of sound quality). From the Halo- album (like this song) I'd recommend The Wolf 😊 Have a wonderful day you all!

Amorphis is considered as the forefather of Finnish Folk Metal. Here's two of the five biggest Finnish Folk Metal bands: "Ensiferum - Little Dreamer" and "Korpiklaani - Lempo". Especially Korpiklaani might be a kinda band you might enjoy.

In December I saw them live in Germany in Berlin, here they were co-headlining with Eluveitie (CH), support from Dark Tranquility (SWE). Tomi Joutsen is a great singer. BTW Nightwish support in Germany was Beast in Black and Turmion Kätilöt.

Amorphis has a long history, over 30 years. Since their first albums "The Karelian Isthmus" (1992) and especially "Tales from the Thousand Lakes" (1994), I was hooked. And luckily they have been a Special Guest to NW for so many years, I have won the "Double Jackpot" dozens and dozens of times. If you have not watched "Tuska 20 years Anniversary" video, you should do it. It is the Finnish Metal "Hall of Fame"-video/song. Best Regards from Finland!
