I also bought Journey in 2014. Got a free sample of it when I bought Interlude. Didn't like it at first but loved it by the time I finished the 2ml sample. It's one of the best from Amouage, IMO.

I've been looking forward to your take on this one. This really is a beauty. Although it doesn't smell like Creed Viking, it definitely has that Warming and Cooling effect that Viking gives me.

I never get a rough opening to this fragrance. It’s fresh, spicy, sweet incense. I wear it year round. Chemistry is fascinating.

I love Journey Man, sadly my Scent Bird decant is down to 2 ml remaining. This is a very easy to wear Amouage, even easier to wear then Jubilation Man and Interlude Man. It's a banger for sure.

Great review! When I tried this fragrance today it immediately reminded me of African Leather. I would even say they are extremely similar, however Journey Man seems to be a bit brighter/less spicy.

I never particularly liked Amouage fragrances as certain themes(oud) were not to my tastes(Interlude, Epic, Honor-this was a definite no). Sunshine and Journey were the 2 which made me reconsider my stance and have them on my lost for a while. Great review.

Amouage Journey man reminds me of being in Egypt. I think its the warm spicy notes that take me back to walking through a market on a hot afternoon in Cairo.
