This is a 10/10 fragrance that is for serious enthusiasts only! worn with full confidence there is no doubt you will steal everyone attention that is in your vicinity or down wind. Sexy animal anyway you cut it. I'm all man and love this on me or my lady, it is THAT special.

I got a sample of this. Sprayed two on my wrists. Loved it. Then dropped the sample on the floor and broke it. It damaged my wood floors after only like 1 minute. Strong stuff! Haha

Great review would love to try this. I just got the Hummingbird from Canada, reminds me so much of a fragrance I got many years ago on holiday in Capri from Carthusia perfumes can't sadly remember the exact name but it might have been Fiori di Capri. Would love to hear your review of Carthusia .

Nice review! Not tried this one yet, iv'e only tried the first 4 opus ones from a sample set i got a few years ago, 1 was very nice but the others were very similar. Haha scarf whip! My scarf whipping off scents last winter were bois d'argent and tobacco vanille.

I've tried a few of them, and only REALLY liked two of them. One, Six and Nine. I still have to try 7, 8, 10. All the others I haven't like any of the others.

Received this as a Christmas gift. My initial spray frightened me. Soooo much jasmine was assaulting my nose. I hated it for an hour, then it got better. At the drydown, it’s beautiful. Getting through that first hour though..... the intensity made me feel stabby and swoony at the same time. 😆

Absolutley, they are quite something! Not all of course, but they are so well crafted and feel quite luxury. Some of them really unfurl on your skin and are SO complex. Opus 1, the other Opus I have is so very very complex I'm not even sure I can review it haha.

I just got a tester bottle of this, the cap is silver and no emblem? What do you think!? I love this so much it smells amazing. I don't know enough about Amouage to know if they usually have testers with a slightly different bottle.

Hi. Thanks for recommending opus 1. I really love it. Now I'm at a crossroad. I can't decide to get opus 3 or opus 9. I already have opus 8. So I am thinking of getting either 3 or 9. Can I have some advice?

I know that like myself you LOVE Portrait of a Lady. Between Portrait and Opus IX, which one is your favourite? Inquiring minds want to know. :) Also, more specifically, would you describe the vetiver note as more hay-like or more grass-like or.... As a general rule, I am not a vetiver worshipper. Although it is beloved by many, I do not like Chanel Sycamore even. I do like a good hay note, though, and I know that sometimes vetiver can smell a little bit like hay depending on the composition. I cannot figure out why there are not a lot more reviews of Opus IX since it was released a few years ago now. Do you think most people are just unaware of it?

I think it's just that people mainly focus on the main line in the cube shaped bottles. The Opus line can fall by the way side. The vetiver is more grass like for sure! And between those two? Gosh that's difficult but portrait wins!

Hmmm.. I didn't like this one.. Have you tried the latests ?!? They're like all purple bottles.. I have smelled them but still could not decide! I'll have to go back to the boutique again

I got a large sample and to me it smells just like Tom Fords Oud Wood. That’s exactly what it is on my skin.. I have Oud wood and sprayed it on my left wrist and opus 9 on my right and they’re so identical to me, it’s weird
