AMP HD Sport I installed had the bracket with three 9/64 holes to drill like you show. Installed without taking off lenses. EZ install and very effective unit. I had board screwed together for a unit I had to take in and out of the truck. Effective, but heavy. Like the AMP much better.

It depends. If you have the traditional snugtop tonneau cover, you will more than likely need the quick latch brackets. It'll make your life easier as you will not have to rotate the BedXTender to a 45 degree angle to take it out or put it in. We suggest them with most tonneau covers and shells. Part No. 74605-01A

The GM S-series (Chevy S10) does not require those extra L Bracksets. I just finished installing this to my 2001 S10 with a regular fleetside bed. Maybe its different for the stepside bed or the first generation S10, but I doubt it, because the D- rails are flat on those trucks as well. No need to order those extra brackets if you have a second gen s10 with a regular bed, that much I know for sure.

I didnt even see how the brackets are installed which way the openings face. What's the sense of a how to video if the details are skipped?

If I have a BakFlip F1 Tonneau cover, will this bed extender fit? I have a 2008 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport shortbed.

Why is the bracket kit required to install the bed extender on a chevy s10 with a regular fleetside bed? Do they mean its required for the stepside bed, because I don't see any reason why this thing wont install normally without those special brackets on my 2001 chevy s10 fleetside, can someone clarify?

I have an 08 Tacoma long bed with a snugtop lid, and my question is do I really need the quick latch brackets with the sport xtender

That is the same as Tacoma in the video, use part number 74801-01A.

I was seriously considering purchasing your product, so I called in for some advice as to whether I could purchase the HD MAX bed extender for my Tacoma. The customer service rep gave me a part number to look up, which was not appearing on your mobile website. He told me ‘I was using the website wrong’, and basically hung up on me. Very disappointed. You need to fix your mobile website, and your customer service.
