Local GC has a used one for $349. Thinking about picking it up. Currently have the BA108 v2 that’s at my guitarist house and use Ampg SGT-DI to a PA while he has it. I like it but needs a little more low end that a 8” speaker just can’t deliver. . I like the setup, but feel like something missing having your own amp behind you.

-15db input is specially handy if you have active preamps in your bass

My soundman just brought two of these micro stacks over that a bass player was complaining they were not working right and making noise. They were both working perfectly. The problem is these are made for bedroom practice volume levels, not stage volume with a drummer. If you turn the volume to 50%, it breaks up with all the tone controls flat. On the back it says power consumption is 85 watts at the wall. That means it has about 50 watts actual to the speaker. I told him to buy a real amp to play on stage with a full band not a toy. 50 watts is nothing for bass other than practice amp. You would not even be able to use one of these at a rehearsal.

That’s why it’s a perfect amp for me. No fan noise and incredible tone for recording KZbin videos or even making studio recordings. Anyone who buys an amp with “micro” in the title of it thinking it will work for stage shows is going to get exactly what they deserve lol

I played on one at GC and loved it. Could be a touch louder... but I love the tone.

Thinking of buying one of these for solo home practice, do i need to worry about blowing my windows out?👍♥️🎸👍
@1minutebassАй бұрын
@@markkeeler584 There are some things I wouldn’t recommend this amp for however for what you just asked I will ALWAYS recommend this amp. You don’t need to worry about blowing out the windows especially with the minus 15db input BUT you could figure out a way to rattle them if needed 🤘

I plan on running a guitar through this with some pedals. Thoughts?

I think it would work great especially if you’re looking to use any kind of octave pedals too

How would you rate this for reggae (bass up, highs down)? Im on the hunt for something that can get a fat low end but be played at home and my Fender Rumble 40 isnt cutting it
@1minutebass3 ай бұрын
@@steenb.5571 this amp would be great for reggae. Neck pick up, boost the lows in the amp, pluck halfway between neck pick up and and bass neck, and literally BOOM

I have seen that amp has a lot of issues and there is not a clear solution, do you know something about that?

@@1minutebass the amp start making something like a scratchy "dirty pot" type of noise, this occurs even with few time of use. There aré a lot of videos about that

You took this over the rocket 112?
@1minutebass4 ай бұрын
@@puffersays9155 I sure did and I like the Rocket 112 but for me I prefer the slight punch of the two 10” speakers over the slight boominess of the one 12” speaker.
