I've had mine for...at least 3 yrs? Great little amp. Hmm, ok, I just went and checked my Sweetwater purchase history, my mistake, I ordered mine 1/10/2013! Wow, time goes by fast! Well I can attest to the fact I've used it nearly every single day, most the time multiple times, and never had a problems with it:)

this is a good amp for practicing by yourself but if your in a punk or heavy metal band don't buy it step up and get the big daddy amp 300 watt amp more power won't blow up like this thing I was told by another musician friend never buy these little amps if your playing heavy music they don't last very long

It's November 2023 as of this reply, I just bought mine,and I have 5 different Ampeg model amps, and I use this Micro CL more than the others and I just bought it a month ago. It's worth every penny.

I recently got a new bass for recording with but then have found I bloody love playing it, told myself I don't need an amp I can just use the UAD SVT that has worked great so far, but then I saw these and now I want one just because it looks cool

They are cool little amps, the head has a line out on it so you can DI record with it.

These things are also great amps for jazz guitarists, they sit great in a mix with a big band.

really works there with the 'P' I think. For solid-state and the size of these babies, I am really impressed with the tone and punch from them...'Nice!!' , A nice wee compact effects unit will go well with these wee guys as well I think

@@paddymacIV no that’s just the amp on it’s own live in the room. I didn’t even run a line out, just turned it up and filmed it with my iPhone.

@@alansamsmusic thought that, you can just tell. I used to have an Ampeg solid state head, one of the 450's but tone-wise I actually think that this one sounds much more like the real tone. Would be nice to hear the 200 one with an extension Cab too..Thanks mate / nice job!! :)

I like the fact that you can rotate the logo to use the cabinet sideways. Unfortunately if you crank it, the cabinet rattles because I guess it isn't as sturdily constructed as the head.

I'm looking for this type of amp to play in my small living room. Is the power not too strong so as not to disturb the neighbors? I'm hesitating with a Vox Super Beetle Bass
@alansamsmusic4 ай бұрын
I've actually been using this amp at band practice and its actually louder than what I first thought. It's a powerful little amp and depending on how much you push it you may get a knock on the door from the neighbors. Thank you for watching the video

Love it ! but am I the only one that thinks the ventilation sound is way too loud ? any advice on how to reduce it ?
@alansamsmusic2 жыл бұрын
Some of that may be coming from the background noise in the room. Also the Pbass and Ric are both a little noisy on their own. I know the fan on the 200 watt head is loud.

I am looking for a bigger amp right now and I have heard few complaints about these, how is yours? Besides I am worried that most of these smaller solid-state amps can sound too clean but I guess that isn't the case with this one. I'd be happy if it has its own color with its pre-set eq curve and harmonic distortion and the cab with some character from its bigger brother.
@alansamsmusic8 ай бұрын
This is a great practice amp, but if you're looking for something that's going to have some oomph behind it you might want to look at something bigger. This is great for practice and maybe a small venue. Thanks for checking out the video

@@alansamsmusicI still need a bigger amp for practicing purposes but I'd really like some character with extended lows to fill the room.
@alansamsmusic8 ай бұрын
@@Cake_Doge you might want to check out the Ampeg Rocket Bass RB-115 1x15. 200 watts with a 15. That would give you plenty of low end. Plus those amps have the over drive circuit. The Fender Rumble amps also offer some great practice amps.
