Awesome. My factory amp was going bad so I replaced it with this plug and play amp. More powerful fits where the old amp was. Also upgraded the sub to 8" kicker. Much cheaper alternative than buying factory amp for $500. Highly recommend 👌 Thank you

Hey man I dig your channel but I just wanted to clarify a few things about objective audio qualities you did not mention to those of us who might not be veterans of the industry like you and I. You stated regarding speaker choices "You're not gonna want $30 dollar speakers. It won't be an upgrade to the factory system. if you're wanting do an upgrade, you're going to want to invest in quality equipment to get the job done." The above statement may have been true at one point. The fact of the matter is China is now not only capable of incredibly cheap production, but also remarkable quality. They also make probably 95% of the audio equipment manufactured and sold today. Optimal materials, acoustic specifications, and overall design in audio hasn't changed meaningfully in quite some time. Plus China has access to the entirety of the US patent library with no moral or legal obligation not to steal every ounce of intellectual property found there in order to profit wildly. Historically expensive brands are now owned by large, household names that have killed any semblance of the initial quality we've grown to expect, yet the price tags are frequently still indicative of the past quality. The corporations can get away with this because people don't know better. But why is all of this important? Well, because I did an experiment using the increasingly expensive amazon prime royalties and ordered a HUGE pile of 6.5in coaxial speakers to test in my wrx. I picked what I liked the most and returned the rest. I switched them out one after the other ranging from chinese rebranded walmart specials (15 dollars) all the way up to Alpine type R's and focals using the head-unit's amp AND a nice 4-channel 1600 watt amp. I was disappointed in almost everything from giants like Alpine, mb quartz, MTX, focal, and Sony. On the other hand, I was blown away by the 40 dollar kenwoods especially, the 40-dollar scosches, and the 30 dollar SKAR audios. In my tests, the cheapest speakers just sounded the best. The tweeters were less sibilant and aggressive. They responded the best from an EQ. They retained the most factory volume (best sensitivity). The only consistency I found with them is that they seemed to lack bass in comparison to the expensive brands. They also did not dramatically improve with an aftermarket amplifier. When paired with a rockghost spare tire sub, that caveat became completely invalidated. In the end, your ears are what matters. The mighty have surely fallen in the industry. I returned everything but the 40 dollar kenwoods, the 3rd cheapest speakers I bought. The ONLY reason for this was they fit perfectly into the holes. I honestly couldn't tell a ton of difference between them and the (too large) SKAR audios that cost a whopping 30 dollars. So I stuck w/ the Kenwoods. TLDR: Don't be fooled into thinking price will represent quality in every scenario, and definitely do not expect price to indicate sound quality in automotive audio.

I've seen your videos and visited your website and I see that you don't work on anything with the 2007 Acura RDX. Is it different from the other models of the brand? I want to improve the sound system of my Acura RDX because your amplifier was damaged and I don't know how to adapt one. I like the products you sell. Is it for using everything from the factory and that's what I'm looking for? Do you not have anything that kills the aforementioned vehicle?

Informative and appreciated . I have an oldie but a goodie that i finally need to to swap due to the cassette and cd both taking a dive . 2000 tl with navigation and the bose system . I think i am going to have to go aftermarket with the radio and new speakers . Could you point me in the right direction to speakers and adapters that will fit the car as well as wiring solutions ? I am a retired auto body and paint shop owner and dismantleing i can handle .

Just bought a 07 TSX and my buddy drove it back home on the e-way for about 50 mins after he got off the express he said it started making a ringing sound and when we got back home we saw that it was coming from the left door speaker.. do you think in this case it would be the speaker or the amp? Cause i was planning on replacing just the front door speakers but after watching this vid not sure id its just the speaker any advice is much appreciated!

Thanks for the great video. I have an 04 TL with stock radio that has buzzing sound coming off of it. Just to make sure I understood it correctly, 1. The 4 channel amp will only power the doors, so Sub woofer and center channel will be gone? 2. The 5 channel amp(without Kicker sub option) will power all the speakers and factory sub? Or do I need to add the Kicker sub to have the amp power it? Also with this option, the center channel will still be gone? Thanks again for the video.

you only lose the center channel. You will keep the tweeters. To get the most out of the plug and play amplifier you want 2 ohm speakers. We have some listed on our site.

We have an 07 mdx that has popping as soon as door is opened on cold days. And the speakers just pop and hiss until the car warms up then it’s fine. We’ve read this could be a faulty factory amp. These might be our solution.

Yeah any amps more than 7hrs old are due for a refresh. This sound is coming from the power circuit, caps are no longer holding that bump of power when it turns on and until it warms up. Or work takes care of those issues.

Hi! Is there any way in finding out if this will work with my 08 Honda Element? It runs a factory amplified 7 speaker setup. 4 door speakers, two tweeters and a sub and I’m assuming it would run the same amp as the Acura. Could be wrong but I’d love this as an easy setup.

yes believe it or not the element and the acura tl share extremely similar sound systems. Its just the element has a dual voice coil sub.
