The new wheels and hub caps absolutely knock it out of the park! It makes the vehicle look like a proper farm truck. I lived in rural central Illinois (corn country) for 36 years so I've seen my share of farm trucks. If I had this truck, I would want to order a set of your wheels - I simply couldn't have it any other way. I'd also fabricate some hay bales to fill the bed. Anyway, outstanding review, as always. 👍😊 I also agree the truck is overpriced.

Hey love ur vids! What I don't get with this hobby is why sometimes scale vehicles aren't correct to scale. What's up with that? Either it's correct to scale or it's not. Why do they fudge the scale? Why wouldn't they just market it to the scale which it was produced? Cheers

Uhg! I know! I think it is more a way to get people to understand how big the car is as an RC car. It has always been a pet peeve of mine.
@Hjerte_Verke2 жыл бұрын
It's not too small for outside, you just have to "scale" the trail, environment or the surface to it and not try to navigate things it couldn't climb over if it was 1/1 scale. Then again it's a long wheelbase scaler trail truck and not some extreme Rock Crawler. It will get high centered easier than a CJ5 or something with a short wheelbase.
@AMPROEngineering2 жыл бұрын
I just think that as a trail truck, it should be able to go walking pace and it just cannot. Basically, I take it where I want it and then put it down. The LWB is a problem for crawling though, I agree.

I bought one of these. It's burned up three motors all within fifteen minutes of extremely light use. I even took the transfer case apart and made sure all the gears have adequate clearance and as little resistance as possible. Still, it locked up the last motor I had even after getting everything to rotate as smooth as possible. Does anyone have any idea why it would be doing this? This was my first rock crawler and I'm beyond disappointed in it. It's beautiful for sure, but is it common for these things to burn up motors so quickly? I have a Tamiya M03 that I've used for well over ten years and not once replaced a motor.

@@AMPROEngineering Two of them, yes. The third I didn’t let get as hot and was able to free it up but it eventually stopped working too. The motors would get extremely hot in a short amount of time. Super happy with the Kyosho, it’s already run for hours and hours with no issues. I’ll never buy an FMS product again.

@AMPROEngineering2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I actually did. After about 6 months of regular driving, I took it and the Glacier (the blue version) on a trail walk with me and the fam. It was a warm day (not hot, warm) and the kids were loading both of them with random crap as we walked. At battery 6 (around 2 or so hours of use that day), the truck just stopped. Locked completely. Few days later I took it apart and the motor was melted. Weirdly, the glacier was/is just fine despite a lot more use. The good news is that FMS sells all the replacement parts and I think the motor was like $6? I cover getting parts on episode 366. People were hounding me and yelling about how you cant get anything for these cars and thats total BS. They stock everything and are adding more upgrades too. Since then, the truck has been perfect. Id say around 20 batteries have been through it. The glacier has well over 50 with zero issues. No idea why this one failed while the other didnt.
