@@amsteadman It went smooth as silk. Transaxle dropped, brake fixed, trans cleaned, fluid changed, and reinstalled. Working perfectly again! Your video took a lot of guesswork out of it and helped a lot. Thanks again for making the video!

Appreciate the video, agree on the other how-not-to's here! Why did you need to pull the tank on the GT19? I have a toolbox on my SS12.

Yeah, tank had to come.off because of 2 bolts. Some short sighted engineer buried two and you have to get to them somehow.

What year is this tractor ??? What type of transmission and how many years did the axle have splines ?? Thanks

At 11 mins you remove the tank holding bracket the hard way. remove the four 7/16 bolts holding that back plate on. The light fixture has simple plug you just need to unclip and the whole thing comes out in one piece. no muss no fuss. So I don't have to rewrite this I apologize if I came off as dickheaded I just wanted to let you know there was an easier way to pull that back tank bracket.

Stephen Shayler thanks for watching and thanks for the comment. I am sure that there were some mistakes made like the elbow that I said you could leave in and then double back and said you had to take out... and thank you for pointing out an easier way to do it. That's why I did the video, was to try to correct some of the "more interesting" ways of changing the transmission that I found online.

I hear that I'm still trying to fix my latest SNAFU on mine from trying to mount a three point on it. Had I watched a few videos before starting I wouldn't be trying to remove broken bolts that never needed to be removed in the first place, lol.

Do you need to drop the transmission to change the brake band? If not how would you do it.

I believe you can do it without full removal. It would probably just be easier to just to pull it all the way out, tho.

I don't have a rod because I can't figure out how to get it back on and nobody hasn't made a video on iy

itsMaliek212 I assume you mean the brake rod? reassembly should be the opposite of this video, bit if you are still having problems, maybe make a video of the parts you have, and post a link here so others can help. good luck
