None of this is surprising. Americans across the board need to learn the rights afforded them in the U.S. does not apply outside of the U.S. You must learn and abide by their laws its that simple. When you leave U.S. soil you no longer have rights. Telling them what you not going to do and filming can be illegal in their country. People who look black or identify as black, ADOS or persons of color are going to have different treatment no matter their status. Questioning police as if you are in the U.S. and filming could potentially result in arrest overseas. She was apprehended not by the police but by customs at the airport. She got off lightly, because by law you go straight to jail for drug trafficking.

Going live here for every single thing on social media it's not the norm here. Yes, you can buy weed legally here (up to a certain amount), but you can't travel abroad here. There are different laws for going in the air. She was asked to stop filming, because she asked where am I going, what's the address. E.U., which the Netherlands is a member of, has strict privacy laws. It was for her own security. I am sure if she stopped filming they would have giving her the address whether there or the location they would have driven her to. Doxing is illegal here. Although we have some similar laws, our procedure might differ. Our arrest procedure are different than the American procedure. And to be honest, the fact that she had her phone during the arrest showed her celebrity privilege. Normally, they would have taken all belongings into custody, before letting her go in the van. They probably let her have the phone to de-escalate the situation. I get that she was afraid, but she was escalating the situation. The location they took her were near the Schiphol airport. There, they can do the proper investigation and she could contact her lawyer and her peeps. If the weed turns out the be hers, the most she would get is a fine. You can be very safe with cops here, they are very well trained here to do de-escalate the most hostile environment. Heck, it's very hard to get in the police academy. And depending which rank, it takes up to 4 years to be an officer. And this was the Royal Dutch Marechaussee, the military Dutch police, so even harder to get in. I don't know what conspiracy Nicky might talk about, but there are rules to follow here. I don't know why her team didn't do proper research concerning laws surrounding weed. It's a quick Google search.

Even thou Dutch people are quite proficient at English in comparison to other Europeans, they still suffer from language barriers and expressing themselves fully in English. I know because I live in the Netherlands. So the switch up you’re referring to by the police officer is less retaliation and more of a language barrier because I understand what he was trying to say it just wasn’t coming out all that well. They did a double check based on her arguing with army police and film them. Based on her reaction they felt she was hiding something so that is why they took everything off to search her and found out she had more than 5 grams and it is forbidden to film people or army police without their consent in the Netherlands it is same for voice record anyone without their consent and if you not calm and be argumentative they will think you are been argumentative. Something don’t make sense because after what she said then turn and said it belongs to her security. It is illegal to travel with weed to the airport and why would it be in her bag and not his. So it is not America if you got a weapon and drugs they will take your bags without your consent and search you. You are in public place and on the airport. There is no applying rules and regulations of America to other countries. What an "officer" or "officials" do in other countries or any country for that matter is thats countries business. In some places they beat people and there is no such thing as suing or asking for lawyers at specific times.
