Gioachino Rossini - Kyrie from Petite messe solennelle | Amsterdam Sinfonietta

“How terribly beautiful the Netherlands Chamber Choir and Amsterdam Sinfonietta sound together! The audience almost jumped up with delight,” said Dutch newspaper NRC. We also received a lot of positive reactions from the audience to the program Petite messe solennelle.
The impressive Kyrie with which Rossini's mass begins may sound even more beautiful in Wijnand van Klaveren's new arrangement than the original.
With the video we recorded, we can look back on a very successful tour together with the Netherlands Chamber Choir.

Schitterend! De begeleiding door de contrabassen en de celli geeft het stuk een onverwacht moderne, bijna swingende toets. Overigens klinkt het Kyrie met alleen pianobegeleiding nog jazzier.
