Great entertainment and the music is worthy in it’s own right. I was completely engaged. Thank you Doz

excellent refurb Doz! We didn't have CPCs in Argentina, but we did get Timex (sinclair) machines. I think I first saw a CPC on Noel's retro lab (spanish variants). Cheers!

Well done Doz, your tenacity is amazing. I remember my first ever computer was the Vic20 and I paid £180 for it back in about 1982. I never had any Amstrad stuff though. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to your next video. Cheers.

You brought back memories for me of removing those keys. I once worked for a company that, among other things, refurbished IBM keyboards. We used the same tool you have. We used to put the keys in a small washing net and put them in the washing machine. They came out looking new.

When I was on my TV electronics course at college back in the 90's I often used to get old broken VHS top loaders to fix up and the cases from them went in my mum's dishwasher - don't think she was very impressed.

Thanks for another great video. Have I missed in the comments where you source the music you use as playout tracks?

You've got the Dandanator for the CPC but they're limited in terms of how many games you can load onto them at a time (they just have a 512KB EEPROM on board). For Gotek you're better off with a 6128 - while you can make a 464 work with a floppy the hardware is expensive and in any case a lot of the disc software is made with 128k in mind. As you say not as convenient as a Kung Fu Flash or DivIDE!

Saw an Amstrad walkman once that said "live parts inside" despite the fact it ran on a pair of AAs. Talk about limiting liability. I'm sure you've tried this, but I find a cheap plastic ice cube tray works great for screw organisation.

you'll need to get a dishwasher in your workshop I think you're right that is the best thing that amstrad ever made better than CTV2200 back in the days of Alan Michael Sugar .A.M.S trading.😮
