Nice build for all of the hassles you had with fitment! I bought the same car to replicate my first car ever that I bought and paid for. A '71 Charger, but mine was an SE, so it didn't have all of the spoilers and striping as the RT. Also I had a flat hood on my car so I had to buy a Salvinos car that had the flat hood and intermix it with this AMT model. Yes, a lot of work to get that hood to work with this model. I'm glad I watched this video again, because I am about to put in the glass. The chassis seems to fit without the glass in, but the motor seemed to fit a little high in the engine compartment. Not sure how I will address this issue, but yeah some fitment issues with this model. The problem is, you can't know all of the fitment issues until most of the car is put together. All in all, it is coming out rather nicely, and hopefully the front glass dowel pins don't become an issue for me as well! If it does become an issue, I will pull out the Dremel as well LOL!

Thanks, yeah I have had this kit in the stash for a while, and then an opportunity came to build it. It was fun, but more difficult than I imagined.

What kind of paint did you use for this build?
@KillBoxScalemodelling4 жыл бұрын
I used Ultimate white primer, Tamiya TS-12 and GX-100 as a gloss coat.

KillBox Scalemodelling thanks! And then would you recommend acrylic or enamel paint for this model
@KillBoxScalemodelling4 жыл бұрын
@@jacobanderson4372 I don't have much (good) experience of enamel paints, so for me the choice is acrylic. But I would recommend acrylic paints thinned in laquer thinner (like the Tamiye TS-12) and also use Gunze GX-100 thinned with Mr Color Levelling Thinner. - unless you prefer to work with 2K clear coats
