Doug. Good to hear from you 👍😃.ok. the corvette parts can stay in the dead Chevy box for another year🤣. Yes. I think the back end is bulges out and I think I'm going to cut up a 73 mustang body and blend that in. I'll move the wheels out another 1-2 mm and fit disc brakes. It's nearly planned🤣🤣. Also. I've tried a couple of times to build Revell's 1/32 aircraft. Me 262 and the flying tigers tomahawk. I tried to fit electric motor in that..opps😁😡🤣🤣🤣

Thanks Tom. It took hours,over several days,to cobble the street. I had to do it a bit at a time,so it didn't get too wet at each stage. Then several days on the painting and adding further materials as dirt/mud to the surface👍😀. I'm rather disappointed with the new model at 39.99 and no corrections. 😕I've found,a few minutes ago,that the glass 'fitting' is a joke. I had to check I hadn't mixed clear parts up with another kit,the rear screen is much too big. So more things to correct as the project developes😕😉👍😎

Cheers Merv. 👍. It took a long time.😕 Do a bit and leave to dry before continuing and then a layer of a fine 'dirt' . Painting took a couple more days. This is when I need your casting skills and reproduce it 😔

Looking good Pete and thank you for the tip on fixing the issue with the rear wheels. The mold for this kit came out in 1968 and is reflective of the tooling practices of that time. The Monogram Torino has more of the details you would want in these cars like separate rear axle and springs and proper front suspension, but the Monogram kit is a factory stock build only. Why must us model car customers always have to compromise? It's a shame that Round 2 didn't update the chassis/suspension and interior parts to give us a multi-piece kit while still retaining all the original 1968 era custom and dragster options.

If you haven't noticed yet, the rear taillight panel has a mesh-like section that extends from one side to the other. This a GT panel, and the Cobras did not have them. Check online for images of the real things. Just a slimmer trim piece, no GT emblem, the fake gas cap has the Fairlane crest.

I've been having so much trouble with my back and legs,Shawn, that I haven't made any real progress on models. That's why I'm doing a variety of stuff ,it doesn't make good videos but I'm in different postures and places. I hope your life has got a bit better and your wife is ok🤞👍

Yes. You are right Seamy. The new release of this kit is not cheap. Doing the cobbles took ages but I think they look quite good👍

Thanks Phil👍😃. Those cobbles took ages😡but doing small sections at a time got me through😉. I've just had a look at the glass for the rear window. It's massive.if it wasn't for the brand new one,I would have thought it was the wrong sprue😡😭😅
