Buddy like I said before, the honor is all mine. I had so much fun doing this, and I can't wait to make a hot tea and chill watching your video. I really need to get my hands on one of these kits. I'll be looking Saturday for one for sure.

It's the BEST small block mopar 340 in scale. I buy those duster 340 kits for that engine! Someone should do a 3d printed version

Nice video Mark. You'll never guess what I'm building as we speak. The '76 Dodge. It's the closest I could come to my '73 Dart Sport 340. Great lesson for me. 4 barrel not the six-pack though. Geez should have just sent the motor to you. LOL But I love the building almost as much as you. Trying to build all my old vehicles from the past that I wish I kept. Some of them anyway. Great idea with the magnets man! All your ideas are so cool. Your a great teacher Mark. I love all your videos. Thanks so much,

That's funny as heck. I have a few that I wish I still had. Believe it or not, one of them is a 69 VW bug. LOL I had so much fun in that car. It'd go through snow like a snowmobile. LOL I will be using that magnet idea for a lot of my builds now. Thanks again for the kind words.

Wow! LOVE the coloring and detail on the alternator and air cleaner. Can't believe you also wired the distributor in its correct order. I never would have thought of that nor would I even know what order to place the wires. Awesome job! I'm curious how long that build took you.
@grandpamarkshobbiesАй бұрын
Thank you. It only took a few minutes to do that alternator. I just did sections as I had that color paint out. LOL I like to do the firing order correct. I look up the engine I'm working on on Google and just draw it up on the instructions. This engine took me about 8 hours total.
@mr.k2559Ай бұрын
@@grandpamarkshobbies 8 hours for an engine build is crazy. You are one dedicated builder! However, the outcome is outstanding
@grandpamarkshobbiesАй бұрын
That includes airbrush time, and making the box. Usually it only takes me about 7. LOL
@richd9505Ай бұрын
How do you drill the distributor cap.
@grandpamarkshobbiesАй бұрын
I was given a pack of distributors that already have holes drilled in them. But if you want to drill the holes get a pack of dental tools from the Dollar Store, and a torch lighter. Snip the nubs off the distributor to where they are just a smidge above flush. Then heat the tip of the dental tool to make it hot, but not glowing hot. Touch the tool on the nub that you left out to make a small indentation. Then using a .3mm pin vice drill and just drill down in that indentation deep enough for the .3mm solder to go in. It takes about ten to fifteen minutes from start to finish. Then paint the distributor, but try to keep the paint out of the hole.
