Thanks Mark! Great video as always. I get my # 11 blades 100 or 120 at a time for like $12.99 on Amazon. I found a sharps container in a thrift store for a buck, I think it will hold a billion blades! I get my CA glue at my local hobby shop, it's usually cheaper per ounce than Amazon. The accelerator too. For my CA glue tips, I keep a couple of tips, and small container of acetone. If a tip gets clogged, I throw one of the other tips on the bottle and toss the clogged tip in the acetone. It dissolves the CA in a couple of hours and you have a nice clean tip. Another thing I use a lot of is micro applicator brushes. They work great for CA glue, as well as white glue and paint. 500 for les than $5.00.And I do like my Dimensional Mod Podge for gauges and lights. Thanks again for all the great tips!!

I use LA Awesome to strip paint. I found with Tamiya if you mess up and decide right away to strip it you can do it in about ten minutes. If it's cured it may take a few days, but it does a great job and at not a lot of money. I get it from the Dollar Store and I think a half gallon is about six bucks.

Hi Mark Those alligator clips with that stand you are using, i got that to. But i have shorten the sticks to 4 different lengths. On that way i can use 30 clips on 1 stand with all my fresh painted pieces, and have all the pieces from 1 car together,as i am building mostly 3-4 cars/motorbikes at the same time. You think you got little space. But i got a space when i spread my arm and turn around i keep on having contact with the walls.But i am happy with it and is still big enough, although i wis my stepson of 35 would find a girlfriend and move out. The i got a place 4 times the size i have now. Just a question about that visor. Can i use it with my normal glasses, I got nog a neat and handy visor,also with 5 different graden. But those noserests,that plastic coverage is gone and hurts on my nose, and the elastic strap has no more elastic in it. A good buy?? The one you got??

Looks fantastic from top to bottom. Question about the pastels. I heard that 'chalk' pastels should be used for this but most pastels I see in stores are oil pastels which I don't think would work. Did you use chalk or oil pastels? I like the idea of a Before and After build. For that fence you should age/dirty up, the After side and keep it pristine for the Before side. If you see my hunchback build add-ons you'll see how India ink does a marvellous job at aging wood.
@grandpamarkshobbies6 күн бұрын
These are chalk pastels. I got them years ago from (I think) Hobby Lobby. Can't remember anymore. I am working on doing the fence just as you said. I also plan on adding some signs (old and new) to the fence.

That's coming along great ! The plastic water type bottles in the engine bay usually (sometimes) turn a nasty yellow after time. You could also add streaks from the caps from run-over. I have also used pastels and chalks for weathering for decades and I like that better than paint for the most part. 👍
