Such slow acceleration and low average speed, get 125mph EMU’s instead with S train level acceleration, and get the lowest speed portions of the NEC up to speed before the top speed sections.

Because the power cars are the locomotives of the train.

@@raffaelebabalean5544 So are many European high speed trains but their body profile still matches the passenger cars the new Acela power cars looks like they do not belong with the passenger cars

@@raffaelebabalean5544 it has to do with the tilting I believe. Because the power cars do not tilt, the coaches are designed to match the profile of the power car when going around a curve and tilting to one side. It seems weird but that’s how it’s designed

@@raffaelebabalean5544 all highspeed rails around the world have matching profiles. Look at the ones in China, Spain, Japan, Korea, France, Germany, and Italy

@@froztytrainfilms9148 No, it shouldn't for example, if the train is on a curve going towards the left then the right side will tilt which makes the side profile misaligned even further and will not match the locomotive at all.

I think it uses the exact traction package as the TGV Euroduplex in France, quite understandable.

Avelia liberty is pretty much an evolution of EuroDuplex, the new french TGV will also be an Avelia liberty

What are the grey looking pipes inside the passenger cars. I wondered why the body profile of the power cars dont slightly curve in at the ends to match up with the adjoining passenger car.

No. It was a test train. Only employees and the people involved with testing the train are allowed to get on

We do need those loud horns because there are no crossings these are made so you can hear them from pretty far away. these type of horns are specially made for high speed and if u can't handle it why did you want REAL hst's

That bell is standard with American trains. It does have an actual 2 tone horn.
