It’s late evening, Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Elkhart, Indiana on the Norfolk Southern Railroad Chicago Line, originally the New York Central Railroad mainline. We are at the Amtrak passenger station.
Amtrak train 30, the Capitol Limited, arrives from Chicago Union Station and a large Amish group boards. Two are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary, and they are all taking the Capitol Limited to Harpers Ferry, West Virginia.
The Capitol Limited departs for Washington, D C Union Station as an eastbound Norfolk Southern Railroad unit grain train, with a BNSF Railway locomotive and a Ferromex locomotive, passes by.
Next we see a westbound Norfolk Southern Railroad manifest freight pass by.
The show ends with an eastbound Norfolk Southern Railroad intermodal train.
