I always knew Japan had amazing public transport but, WOW, they REALLY have amazing public transport. I love how just about every station has its own little melody for when the train doors are open, and just how easy it is to go from one place to another. And I've lived in rural US, I have never even touched a train before this, but after a little bit of getting lost like 2 times and fiddling around with google maps, it was very easy to figure out how to get around with the trains; ever since coming back from Japan, I've been fascinated by urban development, and especially how much more accessible cities in other countries are as opposed to the terribly car-centric America

Essentially, we destroyed the North American network from its peak to its almost skeletal form and set the example or allowed them to rot for 11 other networks. Bankruptcy law had recently changed and the easiest way for the train companies to stop providing service for thousands of unprofitable routes was to go into bankruptcy, declare the tracks unusable, and concentrate profits. What if the real locomotive was the friends that we made along the way?

Love the streaks of fun and laughter threading thru a “ history” lesson of our good old’ railway

Newfoundland used to have a railway until CN shut it down during the Mulroney era and later left the islsnd entirely taking all but one of the interprovincial ferries with it, allowing for privatization making life in the outports worse, the railways history is interesting. Nice video still.

Omg this is so cool. I really want this style of video to become more popular. I feel like you did a great job of infusing Bill Wurtz style into this video, while also making it your own. It might not be as humerous, but it's just as entertaining and educational. Please keep this up. I'm subscribing to see more.
