Amy Lee has such a powerful, beautiful voice. It can pierce, it can soothe, it can roar. The whole band is excellent. Still one of my favorite bands of the last 20 years. Haunted, Tourniquet and Imaginary off their first album, and Lacrymosa, Lithium and Call Me When You're Sober are all songs you should react to.

I just can’t believe I grew up on this type of music. I’m only 17 man. I grew up on a lot of genres. I think rock has hit me the most 🤷🏼‍♀️ Evanescence is one of my favorite bands. I consider them, Linkin Park (RIP Chester Bennington), Breaking Benjamin, Staind, Seether, Five finger death punch, and almost all the other early 2000s my favorite style of music. Sometimes when people ask what I listen to and I start from Louis Armstrong then I go on by decades until I get to this and then they start hating. Well at least I’m listening to real music. Not a scene from a movie. ALL her songs are stories. This song's story is about demons influencing us. They are everywhere in this video. The women in the dressing room doing her hair and makeup, the people she passes on the way to the stage, the people in the audience, some of her band members. Watch again and pay attention to the lyrics "mixing the truth with the lie" .. and confusing the thoughts in my head, so I can't trust myself anymore" it's a powerful story and song. Most people who have escaped high-control antichrist cults (like I have) tend to pick up on the message of the majority of her songs the most because they've lived it. The group I escaped from pretended to be 'Christian' but was extremely antichrist and had a lot of devils.
