The first one I remember is Mad World in Donnie Darko. Now it's ubiquitous - some jaunty pop song from the 80's slowed down and played on acoustic guitars whilst the vocal is delivered as if it's the most profound lyric ever put to paper. Fekkin tedious.

I think mcu is beyond repair n Disney can’t/won’t even acknowledge issues.. I still think they should dissociate BOTH Star Wars and mcu from Disney and Disney plus n create a new section of hulu Disney is biggest liability but as things like shogun show they still have competent subsidiaries that would handle things far more like hbo I never liked street level characters but wow LOVED penguin n what a waste mcu didn’t do this with kingpin But better to let girl Hawkeye beat him up. Arguably the only likable new knockoff girl character but too pretty n likeable so seems fired . Waste of a great actress.. woulda been a great rogue but really hope Disney avoids rogue till new leadership takes over Sydney Sweeney should refuse the mcu!!! Man I'm gonna be honest, I'm definitely right leaning on most issues, I've been right along side most people complaining about DEI and woke politics in entertainment media, but by the time I got half way through this video I was actively thinking "is this really what we sound like? Yelena is a dejected assassin, John Walker thought what he was doing was heroic, Alexei is a forgotten hero, and Taskmaster (even I dont support the genderswap) is a brainwashed assassin, I am not sure about ghost, but either way, is it soo wrong for these characters to have a redemption arc? None of these characters in the MCU were villains, they were from the beginning either misguided, brainwashed, or did things out of necessity - not out of pure evil like Green Goblin, hydra, Ronan, etc. These characters in the MCU are portrayed as so, then what is wrong with a redemption arc? If it is a redemption, which is not even shown in the trailer. You don't have to support the characters, they were characters who did wrong things even if it was for selfless reasons, but just because you don't support the characters, doesn't mean you should not hear their stories right? Thanos blipped half the universe for a selfless purpose, what he did was wrong and was not thought out completely, yet we took our time to understand his pov, why not here? I just feel like this reaction is unnecessary nitpicks blown out of proportion.

No villains that pose as heroes to replace the not existing Avengers in the MCU. Such a waste. But that is what happens if you 100% let the foreshadowing and the little hints of stuff in the background fall apart. If they had done their homework we could have gotten the Leader now here to fight what is left of the Avengers with new recruits. Maybe lead by John Walker or Bucky as the new Captain America. But no they fucked it up. No build-up in the background. No hints of other threads or villains. The stupid Council of Kang scene was the last stinger that came in a Movie and it could have been something but again nothing. You could have had a villain who shows up everywhere at any time to manipulate just a bit so stuff goes his way until he shows up to snatch away some power source, character with special abilities or a way to bring the Infinity Stones back. He could have created new villains in the background too. Make "accidents" happen that lead to their origin or just open a door so they can escape. Subtle but still possible. Better then the laughing and screaming retard Kangs we got at the end of Quantummania.
