@@evelyncee974 I think its because he told all the other girls that he slept with that he "loved them" and they slept with him, and he was trying to do the same thing with Amy but she didnt she left, lol I dont know just my take on it

He didn't want her to move in with him. He was relieved when she changed her mind

I think it was both because he truly loved her and because he wanted to have sex with her. He doesn't tell her like he's told other girls, with his manipulative playboy face. He looks a bit overwhelmed with emotion. He loves her and meant his words but, at the same time, he was reproducing the same pattern as with his previous lovers: saying sweet words to convince them to sleep with him. And the fact that Amy is leaving, unlike everyone else, confused him. She is the first not to "fall into the trap" and to want to take her time. And, for Ricky who has quite an issue with sex, it's new, confusing and unsettling, especially since he has real feelings for her. But I'm glad she did. She suffered greatly from falling into the manipulation of Ricky at 15 years old. So it shows she has matured when she is able to say no and walk away even if she wants to be with him. It also shows Ricky has changed as he's not trying to coerce or manipulate her even though he was hoping to sleep with her and, this time, the sweet words were sincere. However, he still had efforts to make.
