Awesome video, as a new taxidermist it is good to see videos like this. I really enjoyed listening to you all discuss the different forms you all like and the ones you didn’t like. This will help me in the future making decisions for forms to better suit my customers.

Glad to see young people interested in doing it. It is fun but don't burn yourself out. I did so many mounts that I finally burnt myself out. I can't even bring myself to do my own anymore. After 20 plus years I just had enough. I think a lot of it I just didn't make that good of money at it. Looking back I should have charged more but people in my area just didn't have the money.

I started taxidermy in 2011 This chick Amy is Bad a$$ she has to be the most documented taxidermist + she's been making money off taxidermy sence she was young is a mother and entrepreneur...would be crazy to actually meet her at a show some day...
@thecedarridgechronicles2 жыл бұрын
Yeah started at 13 with road kill. It was awesome to talk to her in person. Her knowledge of taxidermy and animal anatomy is amazing but to listen to her talk about the science and chemistry of it all is incredible. I didn't show the entire conversation because I wanted to reserve a lot of the information for her in her new channel.

@The Cedar Ridge Chronicles ok cool as long as you realize it and maybe called her back and said you didn't realize you were doing it and not any of my buisness but that's what I would do 🤷♂️
@thecedarridgechronicles Жыл бұрын
Well we actually stay in touch discussing content on the phone and were doing so before I ever came and did the video, so it wasn't quite as bad as it looks on a personal level, but I also edited out a lot of the conversation because I was actually there to talk to her off camera about starting on KZbin so when she would bring up talking points that would be good for her own content, I edited them out so she could put it in her own videos for her benefit. That made it even sound a little more like me telling points rather than her because of her time I cut out. If you watch the video I made at Ben Mears' shop I talked a lot less after watching the visit with Amy. No one realizes what they do that is annoying until they video themselves and watch it back. It sure doesn't come out the way it does in your own head! Everyone should make content and listen to themselves. I think it would resolve all kinds of issues lol
@moline800hdyup4 Жыл бұрын
Look I think your content is great and I love that you were helping her ,but you were still talking over her alot ..PERIOD... I could care less either way I was just bringing it up so you could better yourself, I'd want someone to do the same for me. I wasn't trying to be a prick I was just being honest. Keep up the good work and I hope her channel takes off as well as yours.
