I LOVE coconut oil. I use it in most of my baking and cooking. I have made homemade balms, deodorant, etc with it. I've shaved my legs with it in the shower. My favorite thing, though, is to use it has my face wash. Oil dissolves oil, and this cleans and nourishes my face better than any face wash I've ever used. I rub it on my face (no water) for about 15-30 seconds. I put a very warm wash cloth over my face for about 30 seconds, or until it's getting cold, to open my pores, and then I wipe the oil off. I follow with an apple cider vinegar toner (half and half with water.) My skin doesn't dry out but also isn't super shiny. I love it.

Hi Amy. And anyone else with rosacea. If your face is flushed don’t use oil on it. Heat is very hard on rosacea. Using oil when the skin is already flushed can lock more heat in. Especially on the nose. Using coconut oil with honey or even sugar can make a nice facial scrub (be very gentle on rosacea skin). But rinse it off completely. Rosacea is a royal pain. Antibiotics/creams will help but not cure. It’ll always come back. The right side of my nose droops from thickened skin tissue due directly to my use of coconut oil on the right side. Wanted to see the difference. Stupid. Using a cold compress on your neck will help better than any facial. Cool those blood vessels down. Hugs.

Hi Amy, I use coconut oil at home too. I use it as a mouth wash in the morning before brushing my teeth or eating. I like it better than listerine and company because I get canker sores otherwise, ick. I've also been using a separate jar of it for my lil ones diaper changes and 8 months in, she still has no diaper rashes or anything. my friend uses it after sun instead of aloe, but I like my aloe so I do not. and my aunt uses coconut oil in her coffee, a tbsp of that instead of any sugar. good luck with it :)

Hi Amy, middle aged Latina here and I use coconut oil for my beauty needs! I use it as a moisturizer for my body especially my neck and chest area. I use it as makeup remover, and face wash, yes you heard right... face wash. Just put some on your face as if it were soap, then rinse and pat dry. The after math of the face wash leaves the texture of your skin moisturized and feeling nice. Not recommended if you have super oily skin. I also love dabbing it on my cuticles. Since my boys are biracial (half black and Latino) I use coconut oil on their curls to keep them lush and shiny too. Coconut oil has been helping my 15 year old with his eczema on his scalp. And of course, I use it for cooking, but that is a separate jar kept in the kitchen. I hope my long winded comment helps 🤗

@Neyda Frierson Cheers for the video content! Apologies for the intrusion, I would love your thoughts. Have you heard the talk about - Parlandealey Fresh Skin Process (probably on Google)? It is an awesome exclusive guide for learning a highly effective natural cure for rosacea without the headache. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my best friend Jordan at very last got great results with it.

(I discovered these and why they work on Natural Remedy Blueprint site )

I've had rosacea for about 8 years. Coconut oil aggravated mine. I had some luck with Shea butter for awhile. I've tried 2 prescription creams, one which didn't work, one that cleared the bumps up but increased the flushing. Antibiotics cleared it up almost overnight, but I refuse to take them long term, so it comes back. Mild soap, mild lotion. Good luck!

It seems we're all different, shea butter seemed to trigger my first outbreak, at least that what I had been using every day when it happened, and coconut oil is what keeps it under control.
@leanture36856 ай бұрын
Your reaction is a demodex die off phase! Which a good thing! coconut is teh only oil that is toxic to demodex mites! Shea butter is not good for roseaca sicne it feeds the mites.

I've also used coconut oil to remove makeup (rub it on, wipe it off), and to wash my face with in the shower (I mix granulated sugar in with it- that might be too harsh for some people). The upside of using it as a face wash is that since it's an oil, the water doesn't completely rinse it off which means I can get away without a moisturizer. If you find that just slathering oil on your face is too heavy, try using it in the shower and rinsing off the excess. I've also used it for burns and psoriasis - there was a noticeable difference. I've even put it on my dogs paw pads in the winter when they get dry and sore. In moderation, it's not harmful for dogs - mine love the taste of it.

Amy your hair always looks great, but I highly recommend Cocoa Nut Oil for dry hair! I put it on damp hair just prior to using a hair dryer. I've also used it directly on my dry frizzy hair to calm it down.

I was told by a bunch of people to use apple cider vinegar to deal with my psoriasis and been putting it on every other day for 3 months and haven't worked for me so I'm gonna try coconut oil on my scalp.

I hope this brings you relief Amy. I must suggest that you try a virgin (unrefined) coconut oil as it is much better for external and internal health. My favorite is from Tropical Traditions... It's the best you can get and they offer a full refund on their 16oz size if you are dissatisfied. Good luck!

I tried using coconut oil a while back in hopes of calming down my acne. It didn't seem to help much, and it also felt pretty thick and heavy on my face. Eventually, after reading up on some popular bloggers about oil cleansing, I gave it another shot with a combination of jojoba oil and sweet almond oil. The sweet almond oil definitely felt thicker and heavier, and my skin didn't really improve... finally I tried JUST using jojoba oil. That was the magic trick. It doesn't solve everything completely - if I've had a week where I've eaten lots of burgers and fries and ice cream and sugar, my face will still tend to break out a little. But if I'm eating fairly wholesome foods AND doing the jojoba oil "cleanse" every day, my skin is clear and glowing and healthy like it never has been before. I got one of my sisters who's been having the same experience to make the same switch, and now she raves about how amazing jojoba oil is for acne and how much hers has improved.

Saw a suggestion for coconut oil on YT a couple of weeks ago. Have been twice per day faithful ever since. No improvement. After a good night’s sleep my rosacea is at its best, flat and slightly less red. But by the end of any day containing even small amount of stress, I have fresh and new bumps arising and painful all over my chin. I’ve been to the doctor and the pricey medicine didn’t do anything either. I’m at a loss.

Hm? There are a couple other things I would recommend based on my experience. I've had many steroid injections over the years. 2 things happened as side affects. 1.high levels of steroids may have caused my acne. I was prescribed spironolactone 2.finger joints became very painful, hair loss, more acne but on my neck and shoulders - blood test for thyroid levels however my very smart Dr also had the antibody levels tested. We believe that long term use of steroid may be the culprit to what I now have, Hashimoto's. I currently take natures throid supplement and feel & look so much better! It was a gradual leveling but I'm. So grateful that my dr added the testing for the antibodies, that is what is usually missed when looking at thyroid levels as a whole! Good luck!

I have acne Rosacea, it gets pretty bad. I get pustules and redness and really dry flaky skin. I found a great product line called Avene and I love it. My skin is much better, but I have some really chronic redness on my nose. I love coconut oil for overall moisturizer but never on my face. Rosacea skin requires really specific care. Ten years I have had it, it started after my first miscarriage (I'm 39) and it is relentless. I also want to say that I personally feel the brand and type of oil really matters a lot!

Just an FYI , Rosacea is an auto immune issue. Some people find help with the auto immune elimination diet. I have tried a ton of perscriptions none helped. I do use coconut oil on my face and body and while it doesn’t eliminate the redness, it does moisturize naturally.

So I had to pause the video half way thru cause my cat (Siamese and obsessed with Coconut Oil), was sitting in the bathroom on the counter howling. Two minutes before he was sitting on my desk in front of me while watching the video.....then it dawned on my.......he kept hearing you say "coconut oil" and he knows what that means. He sits on the counter in front of the medicine cabinet and meowls till you go and spread it on his back and he licks it off. He used to eat it out of the jar if it was on the counter so I now keep a jar just for him in the bathroom for his twice daily fix. He must have it at bedtime, I think it helps him sleep. I also use it to make deodorant, body butter and Pot oil. I have medical marijuana so save my "vaped" material and infuse into the coconut oil so I can make bedtime cookies and add to said body butter for pain management. Coconut oil....I put that *hi# on everything. LOL

Holly Johnson that's brilliant Holly, love your crazy cat 🙀! 😂 😂 😂 I'm hoping they'll introduce medical marijuana here in the UK, we have access to cbd oil but I'm on pretty heavy pain meds. I think for it to make a difference to my pain it will cost me a fortune! So I'm hopeful they'll either legalise it or introduce medical grade because I'm suck of taking soo many pain meds. Anyway I enjoyed your story ❤️❤️

I would get dry patches under my eyes that would get red and flaky then on my nose,and I'm just writing this to give ideas but I tried Neutrogena (hand) cream on the infected area...just dab it on (dont) rub it in...let it sit on the area and it ALWAYS works for me anyway. Maybe just an idea to try along with whatever else is out there.

I love videos like this one. And you are speaking the truth about the coconut oil. Everyone says to use it on everything. I personally use it to make my own body butter/salve for dry skin. As well as put it on my dog who has as I like to call it "old man elbow" skin on his chest (it's literally the driest skin on his chest where no fur grows for some reason). And I also put it on my niece if she gets diaper rash and in her hair because it's constantly dry (side note: a friend of mine used it in her kids hair when there was a lice outbreak in her kids school, None of her kids got lice).
@amynix26328 жыл бұрын
I will definitely try it in my hair, which is super dry since we moved to California. It just seized up and freaked when we got here. NC was super humid year-round, and it's a desert here. I will try it on my hands, too. My hands are really dry lately.

coconut oil is the only thing I can use to treat my son's diaper rashes and skin rashes he gets from food allergies! and it works beautifully! he will now ask for it by name if he feels a rash or irritation. I use it for basic skin care, hand lotion, lip gloss, etcetera. I also use it to treat toenail fungus after talking with my pediatrist who agreed it should work. so far my toenails look great and loads better than before! I also use it for cooking just about everything since my son has the Trifecta of allergies wheat, cow's milk(I.e. milk, cheese, yogurt, etc.), and eggs, and almost everything has at least one of these things in it! it works for a great many uses!

I certainly appreciate trying different things, but this was one product that made my skin worse. My rosacea flared and my acne went crazy. I even gave it a little time hoping it would settle down and it never did. We all have different skin so maybe it would work for some, but certainly not for all.
@leonardolopes35233 жыл бұрын
you have to use organic and cold pressed coconut oil. If you choose to use one that will come full of pesticides and pharmacy chemicals it won't work. maybe you could also have used it with some manipulated formula, which is not advisable since these formulas use products that are very strong and harmful to our body. my rosacea was very evident on my face, with only 3 applications it decreased in an absurd way..

I Love coconut oil for my hair I have natural curly and dry as straw hair and scalp. I can put a dab of coconut oil in it and it make it so soft and shiny and as long as I don't get carried away it does not ever look greasy. I love your videos but the sound your phone makes stabs my eardrums. Anyway, I have rosacea and I'm only 29. I think it is partially my sensitive skin and the fact that I was forced into the sun as a kid. I was always more fair skinned than my family (because I was adopted) and my mom and sister were always saying you should go outside and get some sun, it's good for you. It's not good for fair skin in the NC heat. I also don't wear makeup so you're not alone! I'm curious to see if this works!
